How do you stop ActBlue from spamming your phone?

? When I donated my $50 way back when I did not actively consent to Act Blue selling my data. I actively consented to my $50 going to the candidate I donated for.

Any reporters or researchers out there? I think a great story would be how many votes Dems lost in 2024 due to overly aggressive act blue messaging.

Btw, I used to admire Pelosi but her fundraisers are the worst email spammers. I see Pelosi in my inbox now and my skin crawls.

You should learn about privacy laws before you threaten. There is not an ‘active consent’ (it’s called ‘affirmative’ btw) requirement in the US in most jurisdictions. So you likely consented by passively agreeing to a terms of service when you donated

They have lost nothing. Obama 2012 campaign tested this. They found many e-mails a day doesn't hurt, and gets you more donations. Also, having e-mails by celebrities and cursing in the e-mail text are helpful.

Once I become a billionaire and can afford to buy myself some political influence, I will donate to candidates of both parties just so I'm covered no matter who wins. Otherwise, small donations do as much good for people as peeing into the wind does.
