I think they're more damaging to the Democrats than any Republican.
Asking them nicely doesn't work. Reporting to the FCC doesn't work. If it rises to the level of harassment, sue them? Go to the press? |
Be warned, what's good for the goose is good for the gander. For example MD 3-802 through 805 has some sweet loopholes that negate any type of penalty.
"(d) Subsection (b)(1) through (5) of this section does not apply to a peaceable activity: (1) intended to express a political view or provide information to others; " If I read this right, anyone can legally harass anyone (call a family with adults on night-shift for a 'poll', send annoying text messages in the middle of meetings, or emails to the opposite political party they might not enjoy, etc.) as long as it is a non-violent political statement. I think this wording will eventually backfire on the people who wrote it. |
I wonder if the Republicans can turn this into an election issue? |
Donate $1. They will then find rich donors to donate with your name. |

Text back "STOP"
Most are programmed that if you text back STOP, it unsubscribes you. |
Have you tried donating? |
Just tell them that you are prejudiced against all races. They will take you off quickly! |

Fake news. The only donations under my name were actually mine. |
Texting stop doesn't work. Isn't it a crime to harass someone under MD 3-805.1? Or maybe an abuse of telephone or electronic communication? They meet the definition of a spammer by not removing a phone number off the list. It's at least $500 per incident, I believe? |
Worked for me pp. Might take a day, but texting STOP was effective.
I also don't opt in for texts or give them my mobile number. |
They are exactly like Democrats in general. Relentless, arrogant, and extremely annoying. |
Stop the whining. Learn how to unsubscribe and move on. Pitiful. |
It wasn't for me. If ActBlue continues to send text messages, is that harassment? Can they be criminally charged? |
