Try “unsubscribe “ on emails. Document your attempts to unsubscribe/Stop emails and texts. Use that to support a complaint. Show that you signed up for Do Not Call registry. Report unwanted text and email to the FCC or FTC. Also report to your state government entity that accepts those complaints. They will investigate. Try some self help. Or just keep whining on DCUM. |
Everyone who says this is easy to stop must not be getting multiple texts per day. Yes, you can stop each one separately, but there are 4 more the next day. And I am not donating to every random Dem in some state I have never set foot in. I have notifications off, so texts are only for family and friends. I find it annoying to get dings all day. |
I donate to Dems in other states all the time for federal elections because it benefits me. But, I always give a fake phone number. |
Exactly. |
Problem might fix itself:
ActBlue is imploding. https://www.nytimes.com/2025/04/02/us/politics/actblue-house-investigation.html Maybe someone better will replace them. |
I get 405 texts per day and always reply stop then report junk. Its always a new phone # to get around it. I am done donating to Democrats due to the spamming. I HATE IT and it makes me hate how inept democratic fundraising and the party organization as whole is. |
Well said. |
This is what I do. It works. |
If it "works", you would have "done it", not have to still "do it". |
How do you get off ActBlue? |
DP...each time I text "stop" it takes me off the list for that particular campaign. However, there's some sort of master list and I'm on it. I can tell because every time a new candidate runs for office their campaign sends me a text. |
This. Nobody gets my phone number. Unused email account, fake number, donate all the time. |
Exactly. |
