lol. Two year old post. PP, you are trying to get these poor ladies worked up again! |
Yeah, in fact the corporate headshot people look so generic, they could be AI. I don’t see “rich”, I just see “corporate “. My FIL was old money. British boarding school, nannies, etc. he was the sloppiest looking man in every way, but he had excellent manners. Women look rich to me when they are thin, calm, confident, and wear high quality fabrics that fit well. |
Gwyneth Paltrow represents this aesthetic I think, even though she’s not a WASP. |
|
I don't know but when I went back for my posh private school reunion I totally felt the way you do, OP. Like, how do they all so casual yet fit and polished?
I think having straight hair helps a lot. I am curly |
It helps much if one has thick and naturally straight hair, clear skin, straight teeth and a trim figure. |
|
This is easy.
Stand up straight. Get clothes tailored Iron them Wear good shoes. The end. |
I agree. Why women decide to get tattoos all up and down their arms I'll never understand. They don't age well and look like HAIR. Especially the black fine line ones...ugh. One or two discreet tattoos-fine. |
These are events. Everyone looks nice and put together at events. |
| I have been getting laser treatments on my face and I swear I didn’t notice how much discoloration I had and how it kind of makes your face look “dirty” even when it’s not. It’s lasers. That’s why they look cleaner than the rest of us. |
Melanin isn't dirty |
I’m curly and I’ve noticed it too. Most people I know who are UMC or rich style it straight/wavy, no matter their original hair texture. I get it. My face looks better when I straighten my hair, but the hair itself looks terrible. I hate having to choose. |
| When you are wearing Chanel, you look rich. |
Yep. Being thin and small-breasted is a huge part of it. It is very hard to be elegant when you do not have this physique. |
This person has it right. It's the little things. |
THIS. So much, this. My hair will go straight and shiny, but the slightest breeze or hint of damp and it's all over. Even with professional blowouts; it's just the nature of my hair. I just look so messy and frazzled when this happens. I've tried to embraced that this will happen so I try to clump the curls so they don't frizz out around my head and pull them back into a nice -- not messy -- bun. |
