I guess it makes me identifiable but I'll be out. I think the craziest part is Hardy is not only a desirable district MS, but also reminds me of the blue ribbon MS I attended. Parents often bemoan children's accessibility to tech, when it reality they are the ones who have lost their minds with the easy access to all things school related. My parents were incredibly engaged and still had no issue with me at a 1000+ person school with fights and drugs and sex bc they trusted me as a human. You all have a lot of reflecting that I hope you do. Your kids certainly will have the time cause they won't see me for a few days now |
I don't think that's the flex you think it is. |
I am going away. I hope many of my colleagues do the same. For a lack of a better word, you absolutely stink. |
this is an insane attitude. my MS did not have fights, drugs and sex. It just didn’t. Parents do not organize to get rid of principals on a whim. That’s not how organizing works. |
I guess you had an abnormal MS. I don't really know what else to say. Your kid would've been fine. Hopefully you eventually take out the pacifier |
This is only hurting kids. Parents who feel they are owed something and feel their children are fragile eggs do organize. For years educators and schools have been terrorized by the LuluLemon moms of upper northwest. |
+1. I trust my child, but my child doesn't want to be at Hardy because of all the behavior issues and complete lack of discipline. Glad the PPP was fine with their chaotic school, but many MSers aren't and it is unreasonable to expect them to be. |
No, I think you’ve gotten numb to chaos and poorly managed disciplinary issues. BTW so encouraging that you just discard the kids who aren’t fine in that atmosphere - who have their learning disrupted, maybe get bullied, or are the aggressors themselves not getting the help they need. You may have given up, but you have zero right to force parents to give up. |
LOL. It absolutely did. I can tell you’re another know-it-all NIMBY upper NW parent who understands all the moving parts of schools. It’s been my experience at Hardy that some of the most terrible kids I’ve taught come from wealthy educated parents who think their child is a genius and god’s gift to the earth. It’s especially these kids who are the ring leaders of said “pearl clutching” behavior that never happened in your day. |
Fine go teach at Kelly Miller. |
If you are the teacher calling kids names and threatening them, good riddance. (This is all documented. You don’t think people keep records?) if you are the teacher telling girls they cannot do what boys do, good riddance. If you’re the teacher showing up halfway through the day, good riddance. If you cannot even bother to upload grades for an entire quarter, good riddance. If you’re a teacher letting kids screaming out for help languish each and every day, good riddance.
If you’re fearful of parents, reflect upon why that is. If you’re doing a good job — and many teachers are — you should have nothing to fear. And to the teacher who claimed Cooke left because of parents, you should ask him. I guarantee you he will not say that’s the case. |
None of those people. But if you're the parent who lives vicariously through your child, well, we already know you are |
Right! Thank you for sharing how you really feel. I will go teach at Kelly Miller but you will still be a racist. |
LOL I did and it was fine. I know that's unfathomable to a racist such as you |
dude teacher, I think you better go to bed before you dig your hole any deeper. you are not actually helping convince people that Hardy is run by competent educators. |
