And on the flip side, it shows huge insecurity on the part of Sidwell parents who cannot resist responding with vitriol when baited. If Sidwell parents were so confident, they wouldn’t bite so hard.

Most of the people responding aren’t Sidwell parents (and most say so). They just recognize nonsense when they see it.

Even more strange that parents not affiliated with either school would even care. So much insecurity and jostling for some perceived advantage.

The insecurity (and inferiority complex) rests squarely on the Bullis parents’ shoulders.

Lots of posters not even affiliated with Bullis = lots of insecure parents at lots of schools. Otherwise, why bother?

So, now you're discussing who's more insecure? This thread is getting ridiculous. Can we please put this to rest? Bullis is Bullis. Sidwell is Sidwell. Bullis parents are happy. Sidwell parents are happy. And that's great! Let's just leave it at that.

No they about 129 in their senior class, but these are all their acceptances. So on average each student was admitted to 4-5 schools.

NP. Bullis' good results show they have good college counseling and that you don't have to attend a pressure cooker to get into a top college. Many children at the Big 3 are not happy. I hear it all the time. They hate the pressure cooker environment and are not having an enjoyable high school experience. If students can attend schools like Bullis that are less of a pressure cooker environment and still get into top colleges, then many people will be picking schools like Bullis over the Big 3.

I am guessing some of the responders or Sidwell parents, yes, but also some are parents of children who were either rejected from Bullis, waitlisted, or who cannot afford it.

Jealousy. One of the Big 3 - or is it Big 5? - parents like to pull out. In this, Sidwell and Bullis are just the same.

Bullis, please stop embarrassing yourself!!! What other school is on here carrying on like this? I have no affiliation and now do not ever want one. If this is how hard the school has to try then something is really wrong. It's a terrible look.

It is called transparency.

No. It’s called inferiority complex.

Great, enjoy the transparency within your school just like other school constituencies enjoy it at their schools to whatever degree they have it. I am perfectly fine with what my Head/Board shares. I don't yell it on DCUM. Like what is Bullis looking for? Oh wait, to be held in the same regard as Sidwell. Jeez, just stop already. It's kind of sad.
Anonymous
I can’t imagine a Sidwell parent making a comparison post about Sidwell and Bullis. Why would they bother?!?

If I see one after this post, I’ll know it’s a Bullis troll.
