+1 So bizarre. I am the PP who wanted Op to keep talking, because of the absurdity of OP's posts (without OP even realizing it). |
Not nearly as much as OP, who would probably sign up for Ukraine in a heartbeat - IF OP had the stats, that is. |

Oh wow--shooting adjacent to NEU Oakland campus in Jan. 2023. Here's a link: https://oaklandside.org/2023/01/24/east-oakland-shooting-kills-teen-injures-7/
Just an FYI! NEU is really great!!!! UVA had a shooting recently too! |
and BTW NEU is ON IT! https://news.northeastern.edu/2023/01/27/safety-protocols-for-northeastern-oakland-campus/ |
Again, city life is likely not for you, OP. |

I've already agreed with OP's original point, and now there's this from their Twitter:
Wave 1 of Regular Decisions is out! Students receiving a decision during this wave received an email and can view their decision in their Application Status Check. Decision waves will be released during the coming weeks, and all applicants will receive a decision by April 1. WTF? Maybe tonight or maybe sometime in the next 15 days? |
| I guess Berkeley has similar global programs too. My kid is receiving emails about choosing a first year pathway if admitted where you start in the summer at Berkeley and then spend the fall semester in London. |
According to NEU lovers, this is normal school behavior. Well, except no other school does this. |
Ohio State releases EA in two waves, a month apart. |
|
NEU brought on this guy last year from Tulane. I wonder if this is how/why the notification change has been implemented. No idea how Tulane does "things".

| Wait, Northeastern is a school people care about now? I grew up in MA, it was the default option for bottom of the barrel kids back then. |
Also UChicago used to have 70% acceptance rate. Welcome to the 21st century. |
Well, then they shouldn’t care if she took the first semester off as long as she wasn’t taking a bed on campus. We also thought that with the coop program and kids coming and going, it wouldn’t make a difference to them how she structured her 4 years there - on campus some semesters, in a coop others, as long as she meets her credits and eventually graduates. But that wasn’t the case and it didn’t make much sense to us. |
MANY schools do this. There are several factors at play. |
+1 OP you just need to get over it. It is tough for everyone out there. |
