Why???????

Time to go back to page 1 and re-read. Something about 120,000 people without power…school depot and food affected and 44 schools with no power. But besides that…

I thought the power was restored. But just saw in the news that the couple
Is still in the plane. I guess there might be another outage.

Apparently these lines that were hit are major power transmission sources for the eastern seaboard that runs from Niagara all the way down to Florida. So when they shut down, it can cause cascading issues. It’s a damn miracle these people were not killed.

For real, I have no idea how they weren’t electrocuted.

Yeah it’s going to be on and off until this is over with.

Are the power lines holding the plane up? It looks like the nose of the plane is stuck in between the structure of the tower. The 2 on board must be terrified to make any movements.

Lots of schools won’t have electricity tomorrow. It’s going to get worse before it gets better.

Why not just close the schools that don’t have power and the rest of us can go to school? Ridiculous. The county is huge. Plenty of areas are not impacted by this.

Yes, but you’re not thinking about the teachers that won’t be able to blow dry their hair tomorrow.

So let me get this straight-public schools with power are closed while private schools with power remain open. Makes perfect sense.

I’m sure those private schools have strategic hair dryer reserves for such emergencies.

I found the pilot on twitter. He’s a COVID minimizing republicans who works as a solo practitioner (which is a pretty good indicator for having a difficult or arrogant personality).

Obviously I still hope they are safe though.

It's not a Piper. It's a Mooney

WaPo says they've been rescued and are now out of the plane.
