Hehehe. That stuff never happened. The water run off and moldy houses did but that’s because they built on DC land so the city can’t do any remedial works |
Oh yes. |
+1 |
Will never happen. Just don’t |
There's about a five block stretch of MacArthur that is quicker to reach from CBR than Arizona. But if you're going out Chain Bridge or Clara Barton Arizona is quicker. It's clear from people's observed preference -- they wait on Arizona rather than go down CBR or University. The point is, those five blocks of MacArthur aren't in Virginia and they aren't in Maryland. Blaming the CBR traffic on "commuters from Virginia and Maryland" is a misdirection. If people are racing down CBR, most likely they're neighbors. Probably people who live on the street. |

Arizona is never quicker. But folks didn’t know about the UT shortcut to get to the CBR and then MA or just to get to Garfield/Eskridge to AZ/MA. Now they do and love it, plus get to have fun
Also? The list serve had a raging debate which went silent when dcum picked this up. Ditto the phone noise. That tells me // and I know too // this hit the nerve! Drive folks drive CBR/UT all the way |
| “Plane” not phone |
Disagree. Google Maps knows. I live nearby and Google Maps will always send me down CBR to get home. But not if I'm going to VA or MD. UT is only for going to Key school, I can't imagine anyone taking that through as a short cut. The intersection at Dana is no picnic. |

Not true. I live there. But dislike the yucky old head contingent w a passion ($ does not equal being a d$ck)
Drive UT/CBR folks. Time yourselves. It’s faster and even if the same, more pleasant. Plus civil disobedience What’s not to like?! |
| Dana x is a total picnic compared to just about any other in 20016. Come on! |
Also for parking when going to restaurants on MacArthur. |
Good to know |
This is what Chain Bridge Road needs on every curve. |

When the denizens of UT and CBR were hatching their secret plan to induce - however they induce - Mary Cheh's office and DDOT to hand them their own private street, I very doubt that they expected that their efforts would bring them none other than . . .
BARBARA STREISAND!!! Performing all day, every day, up and down their silly little streets! If only our local ATV-riding brethren could be given to holding siren battles (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siren_kings) featuring Streisand's greatest hits along these two fine streets. Maybe then, the point would be served? |
