Oh yes this is the leftists’ fault. Make it make sense.

Why is Youngkin in office?

Because he successfully scared suburban white women. Its as simple as that.

If you’re a suburban t white women in VA who voted for Youngkin, don’t come to DC for your or your daughter’s abortion. STick to your principles.

That’s right. Only worthy women are entitled to control their reproduction: rape victims, incest victims, and Dem voters. Nice principles you got there.

DP. Are you kidding me? You vote against abortion rights for others because you know that if you or someone you care about ever needs one, you have the resources to send them to DC? What kind of craven jackass are you?

DP. No one voted against abortion. It was not on the ballot.

If you vote for anyone with an R by their name you know what you're getting.

Assuming that you are a single issue voter.

Yes, it was. Youngkin was caught on camera saying he wanted to go after abortion after he was elected, and everyone knew it. You don’t get to pretend abortion wasn’t an election issue just because the word wasn’t literally printed on the ballot.

Last fall, RvW was settled law. No matter what Youngkin wanted or said.

RvW was settled law. Now it's not.

SCOTUS chose to hear the Dobbs case last spring. As soon as they did that it was obvious they wanted to overturn Roe. Dobbs was virtually identical to a number of other cases that the Court without all the Trump justices had decided not to hear. People like me who knew this was going to happen were saying this and you didn’t believe us or didn’t care.

Some low-IQ thinking right here. The writing was on the wall to anyone with the mental capacity to look literally one step ahead.

I mean l do wonder about people who felt confident it was “settled law” when for 50 years they have been all very clear about the plan. Let alone the last 12 months, when the writing was on the wall. Smh

I feel a lot of resentment towards the people who didn’t believe me or didn’t care, including some friends. I literally had a fight with one of them about this, when l told her it was clear it was going to be this way she told me l was crazy. Now she’s all “oh my God l can’t understand this country”… well WTF, l tried to explain it to you and you dismissed me.
I know it’s not a useful emotion, and l am trying not to act on it, but we’re all anonymous here so l can vent.

Setting aside the flaws in this argument addressed by other posters, now that Roe is gone and Youngkin is launching an assault on voting rights in Virginia, do you regret your vote for him last year? If not, then stop with all the “abortion wasn’t in the ballot” and “Roe was settled law” nonsense, because you would have voted the same way even if Youngkin had run with “anti-abortion” printed next to his name on the ballot.

To me, who currently lives in DC and may want a bigger place in the ‘burbs, this is a huge strike against moving to VA over MD.

To be honest- we really need your vote.

Please move here and vote blue.

I’m still pissed at my friend who told me she voted for Youngkin even though she has two daughters. Her reasoning- she could just go to DC and pay for her daughters abortions if needed.

She got caught up in the “Openfcps” cult and then double downed into the Youngkin would make schools better lie.
