Meh. That’s boring policy stuff. All DeSantis has to say is “Groomer” and 70% of Republicans will vote for him.

Dems are usually terrible at messaging, but the messaging about Republicans wanting to cut SS has been very effective this time

I don't think most older people think of SS as "boring policy stuff" - it's "how I pay my bills"

Sure - yes, snark away. Also, this is a real opportunity for Ds to win back some of these voters. The ones who don't care about the attack on the Capitol, the lies, the crazy culture war stuff - any of that. But who do care if they can make rent and buy food.

He's also the incumbent with a record of delivering on his domestic and foreign policy goals. He also just gave an effective defense of social security and medicare at the state of the union. No one believes for a second that the Democrats are looking to defund the social safety net. But please continue grasping at straws.
