Exactly. It was a environmental satire that took everyone to task. The clueless celebrities, in denial liberal media who only wants ratings, the politicians whose only goal is their political agenda and getting re-elected. The general population who were too engrossed in their smart phones to look up when you could clearly see the comedy.

This wasn't a Dem or Rep satire as some clueless people on here think, or wish...lol

"comedy" meant "comet"

It was 85% mocking MAGAs. 10% corporate overlords, 5% media.

obviously you didn't see the move.

Yes, she did. She is correct and you are defensive. NP

Or, perhaps you both saw the movie, but have completely different perspectives on what you saw. Crazy, I know. But it could happen.

No the reviews and commentary say the same. It's about ignoring a crisis until it's too late and the blame is the media, gov't, weathy, corporations, politicians, media, and the population.

LOL. So you haven’t seen it. Got it.

Exactly. Trumpsters are too stupid to understand irony and sarcasm.. and to busy ranting about CRT

I've noticed you have a bad OCD. You interject Trump into everything and nowhere did the producers or cast say Trump figured into anything. In fact, Streep could have been many presidents we've had who promise everything and deliver little. Did you not see the movie?? They went after just about everyone from liberal Hollywood, the media, politicians, Big Tech... and yes the general public. I bet you didn't see it, or read the crappy reviews!

LOL. So it seems that YOU didn’t even watch the movie.

Streep was Trump with dash of Palin. The “don’t look up” hats, the dumb a$$ supporters chanting at a rally, the idiot son, etc.

No it wasn't, LOL! Ok provide a link then!

Here’s the link.

Watch it.

Or if you don’t have the brain power for that:

You must suck at life

The movie is dumb.

I think it makes a lot of people uncomfortable.

No. It's plain stupid and forced.

Truth hurts.

NP. What truth? That heavy-handed propaganda is not funny?

I’m a deep blue voter and thought this was one of the most tedious movies I have seen in a long time.

You're a BS shoveler parachuting in from the politics forum to drop a turd here. You are not a deep blue voter.

Ah, the true origins of dislike are revealed.

Also, magas are brigading review sites to leave bad reviews for obvious reasons.

I never laughed once. As someone up thread said, it hit too close to home. Ever since Sandy Hook my eyes were opened to how horrible our society is. I could totally see this happen

My husband and I were also disappointed. It definitely wasn't the worst thing I've seen but I wouldn't recommend it or certainly watch it again.

For the person with the worried 15 year old - I wouldn’t, unless the humor will allow her to take in the ending with a huge grain of salt. But the end just felt very right on the nose for how things are going today and therefore terribly depressing.

Awesome caricatures, depressingly familiar atmosphere.

Not for a sensitive worrier.

When your comedy makes Mars Attacks look funny, you've got issues.
