Carrie Bradshaw was not good looking enough for her dating life

Not remotely attractive.

She was sexy; thin; great hair; "do-me-pumps," baby skin. No need to be pretty.

The pretty one was the girl with dark hair forget her name. The other ones from the group were average but not ugly.

The character was relatable and her confidence, sense of style, quirkiness, and humor was attractive to the men she dated. As for SJP, she thankfully knew she had a distinct look and realized it would be better for her professionally if she didn't have so much plastic surgery as to become unrecognizable.

She had a nice body and sense of style definitely. Women with her shape are rare in the dmv and dcum where the average woman is a size 10/12

She was the star of the show, the way she was filmed and dolled up was the production. When she was not on the show and you saw her on appearances and so-called street wear photos, the "real her" always looked like an average Karen on Long Island. The only thing she had going for her is being skinny, which I guess is commendable since America is so obese, especially those in their 30s and 40s (when SJP/SATC was at its peak).

In real life Carrie would have gunned for and married the bald schlep lawyer (the writers had Charlotte marry).

Charlotte would have married by no later than age 26 or 27, would have 2 or 3 babies on her own by age 30 or so (not adopted), and would have never been friends with someone like Carrie in the first place.

Samantha would be fake nice to someone like Carrie, i.e. professional network, but wouldn't actually befriend her and spend so much time with her.

I disagree, her city streetwear was always modern/ trendy/creative. I had a friend who attended a wedding where she was present, her look per friend report was couture, this was about 20 years ago. She is no karen and her style has been. creative/ urban and always has been. True, she's not above being photographed with a parka and boots in the winter when she was walking her kids to school but she is no karen.

She always has, and will be, a style icon to me - in the show or not.

Not in NY for the kind of guys she wanted to marry. And there is something up with Charlotte. Besides being annoying AF and super whiny, I always got the impression that she's like, from Ohio. Not exactly to the manor born UES WASP material. As a native Manhattanite it always seemed like all of the characters were putting on a different persona of "being a New Yorker" but Charlotte has that in spades as well in a way that's really desperate and off-putting.

George Costanza? His girlfriends were all hotter than him. But I really enjoyed his character so much.

Even though you'd never in a million years date him.

No way! I'd just be his gal pal like Elaine.

And for the record, Carrie was much better looking than Aiden and Big. If you really want to talk about mismatched relationships, it was Charlotte. She married that weird-o doctor guy with ED issues.

Carrie Bradshaw was never explicitly described as Jewish. Why are you all making it a "thing."

The show has a lot of criticism of Jewish men, but Jewish women are never pointedly described as unattractive or undesirable.

I thought she was much better looking when younger. But then again I never thought she was beautiful.
