first of all, Fox has more viewers than CNN and MSNBC combined.

Second, social media, funded by Russian Oligarchs, have their alghorythms set to amplify right wing propaganda. the top ten posts daily on Facebook are all right wing.

Third, I would argue that MSNBC is "left leaning" with its nightime hosts, but that their newshole is factual/centrist. I would argue that CNN took a right turn over the past year and is centrist right. Add to it OANN, Newsmax and other right wing media that is ramping up viewership, particularly as the extreme right eschew Fox because *gasp* they require their on set talent in NY to be vaccinated.

Forth, viewership for things like CBS and ABC News is WAY down. It isn't the Bog 3 with Uncle Walk telling it like it is anymore and hasn't been for more than 25 years.

FOX has more viewers because the non-right-wing market is very balkanized. Normal people get their news from a whole variety of sources. FOX News viewers on the other hand have been systematically conditioned to believe that all of the rest of the media is "liberal lamestream lies" so they avoid those other sources and mostly just cling to FOX.

And this is why the Democratic Party loses, people that don’t agree with me are stupid and conditioned. And every day moderates get sicker of it.

It is very frustrating to be a Democrat trying to govern this country. As a House staffer I spent half my time responding to stupid shit that wasn’t true but would never die. The same crazy bullshit resurfaces every two years with minor rewrites. The right is just one big disinformation network appealing to the fears and prejudices of racists, evangelicals, and gun nuts. This is not new. It’s been that way since at least the 1980s.

Just noting, the inflation is a global issue, not related to any "demcorat stimulus"

This sounds like a non-sequitur. People who don't agree with you on what? Are they supposed to agree with FOX News?

Oh FFS. Unemployment has gone all the way down to 3.9%. That's phenomenal.

If we had 0% unemployment with nobody left to be hired these idiots would still be yammering about "OMG, the numbers missed the mark!"

Who the fk are these moron "economists" insisting we should still be adding some ridiculous imaginary idea of a half million jobs a month every month with unemployment figures already this low?

We're just 0.3% away from the lowest that unemployment has been in 50 years, and the economy is on a good trajectory to hit that number in the next couple of months.

It's not about lipstick on a pig. Look at the response in two tweets below, from a right winger, first is to today's numbers and the second, to 164k jobs during the Trump Administration. Note, today's was more than 164k.

Same thing here - looks like the GOP got its talking points

This is a perfect example of pathetic GOP gaslighting. And disgustingly enough, many in the mainstream media are playing along with it.

So, under Trump, 135,000 jobs created in a month was good, 164,000 jobs created was fantastic, beating expectations, and to be touted as the best thing in 20 years, yet...

Under Biden, 199,000 jobs created is a disaster and a failure and missed the mark by more than half.

Clear to see the brazen dishonesty and gaslighting of the GOP here. And SHAME on the media for rolling with it.
