Everything they do is in bad faith. They are a cancer on society.

Uh, is this your spin? It wasn’t a good thing. It was illegal.

Did you read the article? The Virginia code actually doesn’t cover the scenario of using a legitimate ID to vote but you’re underage or haven’t registered. It’s not illegal. But it won’t get you anywhere either, hence he was turned away.

Stupid teenager. But if he had gone in with a utility bill in a registered voters name anywhere in VA who was not going to vote [day of, early, or mail in] technically he could have voted. If a member of FCDC and underage or not a citizen he could vote for the FCDC non partisan FX school board endorsement.

Well, he wasn’t registered to vote. So I don’t think a utility bill would work either. He also probably doesn’t have a utility bill in his name. He is 17.

They must spend a lot of time on that woke PC stuff over there at Georgetown Prep.

You know that he's not going to face any repercussions from it. Why dwell on it and waste your energy on here going back and forth about it?!

Because it’s funny and it reflects very badly on the newly elected governor who made education and election integrity central themes of his campaign.

Are you being obtuse or do you actually not understand why this is being discussed? If the former, knock it off — we will discuss what we want to discuss. If the former, maybe sit conversations like this out because you are too dumb to follow along.

No one was “outraged” at McAullife’s 21 year old daughter posed in front of the Lynchburg City Republican Committee office giving the finger and posted it all over Instagram.

Youngkin when asked said he didn’t have opinions on his opponent’s children and refused to comment further.

One is a crime, the other isn’t

actually what Youngkin's kid did was not illegal, dumb yes but illegal no. What McAullife's daughter did actually might be a class 1 misdemeanor. Take a law class my friend.

Giving the finger is a misdemeanor?

Yes.

Explain, please.

Because it is an "obscene gesture" and depending on the circumstances can qualify as a class 1 misdemeanor. Look I am neither here nor there on Terry or Youngkin's semi and full adult children and both sides seem super dumb to do what they each did. But remember in Virginia you can be charged with a crime for giving the finger, so just be careful next time someone cuts you off in traffic, don't flip the bird. I was surprised the woman on the bike who flipped off Trump a few years ago wasn't charged.

That law would be unconstitutional and would never hold up in court.

He presented a valid ID. That’s not trying to cheat. LOL

“The young man presented identification but was ineligible to be registered due to his age “

So the system worked. And a child told the truth.

The feigned outrage here is breathtaking.

A child told the truth? I can't wait to hear who his 17 year old friend is that did get to vote because that's illegal and what he told them at the polling station when he demanded to be able to vote.

Only a defense attorney calls a 17 year old a “child”.

I expect a full investigation and criminal charges for this “friend”.

So you want him treated as an adult in the judicial system, and not an adult when attempting to vote?

If sending Democrats in to pose as white supremacists was just a "stupid prank," then this doesn't even register.

Since photo gov ID is not required the utility bill would not have been in his name. It's a name and an address of a registered voter with no visual proof like a picture id that the person voting is the same person as on the utility bill. https://www.elections.virginia.gov/media/training/Understanding-Acceptable-ID-Rules.pdf

If you don't have acceptable id then you can fill out a confirmation form and birthdate and last 4 of the social security number are optional. Refusing to sign that leads to a provisional ballot.

All of the above assumes each polling location has hard or online access to lists of actual registered voters. But for 2022 Ayela's bill was signed by Raplhie Northam allowing same day registration. https://www.princewilliamtimes.com/news/northam-signs-del-hala-ayala-s-bill-allowing-same-day-voter-registration-but-it-won/article_eb5bff76-80da-11ea-a069-77c7f613e4b6.html

My 12 year old is counting down the days until he can vote. I find it very hard to believe that he was unaware of the voting age requirement.

No one, in regular conversation, refers to their 17 year old as a child. No one.

Wow are you cynical. The newly elected gov made education and election integrity the core of his campaign and on election day his underage son tried to cast an legal vote, and the campaign claimed he didn’t know he was ineligible to vote. 17, at a prep school, and didn’t know basic civics?

So basically you’re saying education and election integrity aren’t that big a deal after all.
