He would also make a great president. I hope he runs.

Is this a joke? He has no political experience. How would you know if he would make a great president? Are you his mom?

Youngkin can at least help reverse the travesty visited on TJ and the Governors School.

Doubtful. Do you think the FCPS board would go back to no URMs or just close the school if they were faced with the option? I’m guessing this board would just close the school

DP. What are you talking about? In what world did TJ ever have "no URMs"? Oh right - never.

I am looking forward to education being whitewashed, abortion limits and environmental degradation.

Agreed. I understand why parents are upset about school closures, but voting for Youngkin is NOT going to improve anything in the realm of education. It's cutting off their noses to spite their faces.

Considering the governor appoints the nine members of the VA Board of Education, not to mention the VDOE's Superintendent of Public Instruction, it's apparent the governor has a large role in every aspect of VA public schools - including curriculum. Are you aware of any of this?

But there won't be any more closures! You voted for someone who wants cut school funding (lower taxes = less $ for schools) because you didn't like that the world was in a once-in-a-lifetime global pandemic and your kids lost a year of school? That is the epitome of cutting off your nose to spike your face.

Anonymous wrote:No. Mostly because he will be completely out of his depth. Government is nothing like the private sector. I’m so tired of business people thinking they can run government better. I’d like to see a higher quality of candidate running on both sides. A little less bombast and a little more thought about addressing real challenges.

The reason I crossed party line to vote for Youngkin because he wasn’t a bombastic boomer like McAuliffe.

So you are a millennial who voted for someone whose party wants to keep harming our environment for the next generation? cool dude.

Exactly how I feel.

I’m looking forward to the return of some common sense and less emphasis on empty virtue-signaling that was doing nothing to prepare students’ education.

You mean the fake astroturfed campaigns meant to fuel divisions so we're too busy fighting each other to see how GOP deny our schools the resources they need while letting the richest 1% get away with not paying their fair share?

Happy to see the Lt. Governor Elect already meeting with Virginia troops.

WTF? True to type, more nonsensical ranting from the left. Plus, bonus points for working "astroturf" in, yet again!

That’s nice. But she’s still a hardcore pro-life/2A nutter.

I hope Covid insanity will end and masks will come off at schools, and with VA now a red state there is a lot less possibility of vax mandates especially for kids. I don’t belong to any political parties

It’s fine to impose some fiscal discipline on the schools if it forces them to stop wasting money on useless crap like chief equity officers, speeches from Ibram Kendi, and intrusive student surveys. Maybe once they’ve shown they can focus on education again they’ll deserve more money. Stupid virtue-signalers on school boards brought this on themselves.
