It's work that tax payers should not subsidize. |
Of course it’s work. The question is whether people on modest incomes should provide money to a couple earning $150,000 to subsidize their child care costs. |

+1 exactly |
If you allowed free movement of labor, no questions asked to Italians, Greeks, Portuguese, Spanish you would be surprised how many people would arrive between ages of 20-40. I say this as someone with property in one of the countries listed above. Jobs for young and educated Southern Europeans are hard to come by. But yes, Irish/uk/French/scandi/German/Dutch people won’t really come even if you offered free movement of labor to them |
How loooooooooooow can you go?
'We're not going to get $3.5 trillion, we'll get less than that. We're going to get it. And we're going to come back and get the rest,' he said https://finance.yahoo.com/news/biden-not-going-3-5-233811944.html |
They need to put Manchin on the spot and have him identify and explain, specifically, and line by line, exactly what it is that he wants cut and make him try and explain away to his constituents and supporters FACTUALLY as to why he thinks those cuts MUST be made before he will vote yes - and be there to respond to fact checkers who can refute any points he makes. |
This isn't the presidential debates. ![]() |
This is more important. |
Isn't it assumed that Manchin is negotiating with the correct people within the party? Schumer, Biden, Pelosi.... why would he give the public line by line what he wants cut?
Why does the public all of a sudden want to set the negotiation table? And why aren't republicans getting any heat for this? This plan will help their constituents too and it is outrageous that they are getting off scottfree. We really need a system where if your representative doesn't vote for an infrastructure item or benefit not at the national security level you get nothing. |
LOL no. The President appoints SCOTUS. Nothing is more important. |
Manchin needs to be made to answer for himself and his actions. He is holding up ALL of Congress, he is holding up a much-needed bill to help our economy, and is being less than honest, transparent and forthcoming on *exactly* why and what *exactly* it will take for him to approve it. That is why he needs to be put on the spot and be held accountable. |
