I mean, lefties just keep telling us that borders aren’t real. They’re just imaginary lines on a map.

Ok, fine. You win. They’re just imaginary lines on a map.

So what’s the big deal then? He crossed an imaginary line on a map.

And?

HUMANS AREN’T ILLEGAL

And borders aren’t real.

So why is everyone so fixated on “HE CROSSED STATE LINES!!!!!” ?

I don't get it either. He lived 30 minutes away. It's like someone in DC going into Maryland or Virginia or a New Yorker traveling to New Jersey or Connecticut. They're acting like he flew from some far away place.

It’s the fact that he went into a place that he didn’t belong that was having protests to fight protestors. He was getting involved instead of letting the police do their work.

He was asked by a business owner to help protect his property, he wasn’t just randomly walking around. Here’s a thought…..if you’re going to endlessly post on this thread you might want to familiarize yourself with the basics of the case.

NP who admits I haven’t been following the care closely. A local business owner asked an underage guy who couldn’t legally own a gun to travel into town with an illegal AR to guard his store? Really?

DP. Agree - really? I thought he took that job on himself. Was he really guarding the business at the business owner's request?

I watched the testimony and it wasn’t disputed. I believe the man who owned three car lots asked KR’s friend for help and KR tagged along.

This! I am gobsmacked that commentators in the DMV i.e., D.C./Maryland/Virginia are too stupid to realize that people cross state lines ALL THE TIME. Just look at the legion bridge on any given day. And I am pretty sure all the protests and riots that happened in DC, half of the crowd crossed "state lines". GMAFB

They’re grasping at straws because they have nothing else. There is no case here.

Ah, so they didn’t actually ask Rittenhouse to help, or that Rittenhouse illegally being an AR-15 with him. Was Rittenhouse guarding one of the car lots when he encountered Rosenbaum?

Of course people cross state lines all the time. That's a stupid counter argument.
The issue here isn't just that he crossed state lines - it's that he crossed state lines as a minor and used a gun to shoot someone.

Wasn't asked to help but somehow came into possession of a loaded AR-15 and ended up in the middle of a riot. As a minor, in a state where he doesn't live. All kinds of wrong there.

Minors cannot legally cross state lines? Have a cite for that??

Oh please. The far left doesn't get to rule the courts. If they want to go that route then many criminals will be rounded up, and sent to jail. Or hopefully worse.

Yes, the judge's bias demonstrates this very clearly.

The judge is a democrat, appointed by a democrat.

The prosecution just has no case and has been resorting to increasingly more outrageous and unethical tactics to try to make a case out of nothing.

With Trump's theme song as his phone's ringtone?

Trump's theme song? That song was written in 1984 and has been a top 10 hit at least twice over the years and is certified platinum but you know it's "Trump's theme song".

- and the judge is a democrat. Appointed by a democrat.

Leftist conspiracy-theorists are already making excuses here, and the trial is not even over.

Why is that?

His mother lives in Antioch and his father and grandmother live in Kenosha, about 20 to 30 minutes away by side streets. It was a trip he made all the time. He did not decide travel to this unknown place across state lines to cause havoc. He did not bring the gun with him across state lines. The gun he carried is perfectly legal in Wisconsin, though at 17, it is a misdemeanor for him to be carrying it except for under certain circumstances like hunting, so he could have legally owned the gun and used it for hunting. The only real issue he has is that he was 17 and carrying a gun, again a misdemeanor.

Why is that?

They're just mad that they have no case. The new thing is to insist the judge is racist and a terrible judge. Eye roll.

There is a simple reason why we know the answer to this question is no: if this business owner could have truthfully testified that he asked Rittenhouse to be there to protect his business he would have been called as a witness for the defense.

I mean do we really want to set the precedent that it's great for a minor to run into the middle of a riot with a gun, amping up the chaos, then say, "well it was chaotic of course he had to shoot people"?

I don't want that precedent!

As a lawyer, the legal and Constitutional scholars on social media are annoying. And this really is a "both sides" phenomenon.

So you know nothing about the case but feel compelled to comment......brilliant.
