Truth hurts doesn't it.

For Harry and Meghan? They are complete laughingstocks. It’s amusing people think they are so very important. They are a joke we all love to laugh at.

Laughingstocks to whom, exactly? Most people that I know in the UK couldn’t care less, or are sympathetic to Harry. I’m Canadian and I wish them the best. I think it’s Americans who have the issue. You preach about the American dream, unless a biracial woman achieves it, then she should be torn down, along with everyone around her.

So you attribute the totality of critiques on her behavior to racial animus? That's a very nuanced and enlightened perspective. And the American dream, such as it is, does not include becoming a princess.
hence so many movies about American women marrying princes.

If you're not bright enough to distinguish entertainment from the American dream then i don't believe I can help you.

Okay, so what about an American woman with a goal to get to Hollywood? Of course, we belittle them for doing what has to be done, but vote men in for doing worse.

So what are you so irritated at her for, if marrying a prince isn’t a big deal?

DP - Meghan Markle had "made it" by the time she met Harry. Nobody gave a damn about her up until then. It's what we've seen with the two of them, especially Harry, that the public is irritated with. Harry, born with a silver spoon in his mouth, crying about how hard his life is. He's just no longer a sympathetic person. People felt sorry for the little boy trailing his mother's casket. But now he's just a moaning man child unhappy with his relative luck in life and its a giant turn-off to most people.

And the ugly cousin got Frogmore. Only changes she’ll need is to remove Meghans overpriced Homegoods quality crap.

They’re “given” a property that was converted to staff offices that they never owned. The property was renovated, presumably to at least in some part to make it suitable as a residence, and the taxpayer was charged. Then they leave and pay back the renovations on this thing they don’t own and now Andrew’s daughter is living there?

Because Andrew’s daughter is a grifter and wants the Royal life. Harry and Meghan had so much clap back, they had no choice but to pay back. The house had obvious renovation needs in order to make it a family home, if you want research.

Difference is Eugenie has been trained to STFU and do whatever to keep her royal paycheque coming. Both of her parents have been forgiven countless things by the BRF. Conversely, Harry’s mother was more or less killed for them. He has no ties to the throne, really. Of course, we’ve been through this.

Diana was killed through her own stupidity. Wills and Harry were left to Philip, Charles, and the Queen to raise as Diana went swanning about looking for the next man to fall for her limited charm. Telling that wealthy Europeans left her to men from the British colonies to do the dirty work of paying for her shrink bills and lifestyle.

Harry did marry a woman very much like his mother.

Because personalizing and renovating a property is on their dime. They shouldn't have undertaken the project if they had no intention of living there. Looks like their loss is Jack and Eugenie's gain. Presumably they are paying rent. But if Harry and Meghan are as wealthy as some claim now then this is a drop in the bucket to them and not a big deal.

?

How is this a gift? This is basically a landlord getting a tenant to pay to convert a commercial space to a residency.

Well it was paid for out of the Sovereign Grant with the idea that they would be working royals. But when that plan changed and given that the cost of renovations was seen as extravagant it was decided they would repay it when they split. I thought that was part of the stepping back agreement. Had they stayed I don't think they would be paying for all of it. Some things would be covered like structural repairs, but the interior decorating they would have had to pay for themselves.

Some clarification of the Frogmore repayment. They paid back the structural repairs that would have been covered if they stayed working royals. Sounds like they just wanted to be free and clear without anything hanging over their heads. So they repaid it out of goodwill.

The £2.4 million costs spent in 2018 covered the structural renovations needed to turn Windsor Estate’s Grade II-listed Frogmore Cottage back into a liveable family home, after it had previously been converted into staff apartments several decades ago. All interior refurbishments, including appliances and decorative elements, were already privately covered by the couple.

That's not what the American dream is. You know that, right? You're talking about a little girl's fantasy. Not the reason millions try to immigrate to the US for the chance at a better life.

As an American, in a mixed-race/faith marriage with a biracial daughter, I couldn't agree with the bolded more.
I have no problem with H & M's marriage. However, I'm not sympathetic to them at all. They've made their bed now they can lie in it. Also, I've lived in several commonwealth countries and everyone I know thinks they're fools for running away to America.

Unfortunately, this is true. She didn’t wear a seatbelt, along with her boyfriend Dodi Fayed and the driver Henri Paul. The only person to survive the accident, her bodyguard Trevor Rees-Jones, was wearing one.

Have you read his book? NO one was wearing a seatbelt.

Did you? He said he doesn't remember the journey.

It wasn't until an investigation later that said no one was wearing a seat belt.

I think Meghan and Harry are winners. $100MM+ Netflix deal and the luxuries of a California lifestyle. Not stifled into silly and outdated royal traditions and constraints. They’re laughing all the way to the bank and the beach. They can relax and then re-engage with their passion projects whenever they want. Good for them.
