More fodder for the stench of failure wafting from the monarchy. With Prince Charles having long provoked public unease through his perceived eccentricities and often dogmatic views, the hopes of many monarchists rest with the Cambridges, William and Catherine. They have certainly turned in stellar and assiduous public performances. Yet even here, there are mutterings that Prince William is too much a slave to cultural fashion by banging on about mental health. While it’s admirable to bring this issue in from the cold, the whiff of victimhood risks irritating the public. Rather than making people feel better about themselves, it lowers their mood. In serving as a mirror in which the public want to see the best in themselves, one of the royal family’s key tasks is to lift their spirits. Britain’s constitutional monarchy exists through the consent of the people. If it loses their support, it’s finished. So why is so much going wrong with the royal family? https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/the-queen-deserves-better-from-her-family-gtt3x3xn8 |
| Rarely see Alizee done up. I think that’s why she’s a perfect fit. She’s a natural and is confident enough not to feel small in the commotion. Now his suit is le yellow and is le yuck. |
I suppose. It's easy to blame Charles and William for the state of the country, that's one of the main benefits of having a monarchy. But they're not responsible for covid or Brexit. And if you are honest, you'll admit that the US is having a rough time now and the past few years as well. Too bad we can't blame Charles for it. |
That's right - we blamed Trump and got him out of office. They're stuck with Charles and Her Majesty's Prime Minister whose party will be in office for the next 15 years. Aside from that the monarch is responsible for Brexit. She prorogued (disbanded) Parliament and prevented them from voting to dissolve the resolution. She's the only one who could do it and the only one with the power. Look at them now. |
You can say that. But Brexit needed to happen. Have you payed any attention to the EU in recent years? It was inevitable, the only question was when. And the when is now. |

Prince William's 2-year delayed pet project is finally off the ground. It actually looks like it could do some good. I wish he'd worked with his brother on this, they share the same interests in the environment, but whatever. Twice the projects and twice the global efforts.

This is really incredible. wow wow |
But it’s linen so that means it’s fine. |
I mean Charles was the original person in the family interested in the environment so weird they can’t work together. But the more the merrier. |
This is probably the most important climate change initiative that exists right now. Bravo! |
