Just because people need medication, it doesn't mean they have a certain expiration date without it. If they do, it's usually months and years, not days. Also, if it was an inside job, they'd hire it out (not do it yourself come on now) and squirrel away medication. |
Having been through hospice with two elderly relatives….they can live to a long time without their maintenance meds. It’s not good for their long term health and of course raises the risk of things like stroke or heart attack but it’s not like immediate death. (But also if this is a kidnapping, they could easily buy the necessary meds in Nogales—they seem like pretty basic medications.). At this point it doesn’t seem like a kidnapping unless it is a kidnapping gone wrong. I don’t think any kidnapper would want to keep the victim this long if there was anyway to avoid it. I feel so awful for all of them. |
| They said they want to celebrate her when she is returned. That does not sound like she is still alive. |
Tommaso Cioni. Nothing. His name is literally Tom/Thomas in Italian. |
You wouldn’t celebrate if your kidnapped mom was returned alive? The word celebrate doesn’t imply death |
They said celebrate with her. Not just her. This was when they had a stupid message for hoax ransomers. They never had any information about her from them. |
You mean, Annie is 6 years older than he. |
NP- incorrect. “than” a preposition, so it takes an object pronoun like him. "Annie is 6 years older than him." is correct grammatically in US English. |
Often elderly folks prefer small gatherings. When my grandma turned 90 we did a big extended family gathering. It wiped her out for the next month-lots of sleeping and exhaustion from too much excitement. She preferred brief visits with just a few people at a time. |
Months without heart, blood thinner, and blood pressure meds? Doubtful. |
The ransom notes are not by one author but a variety of scam artists hoping to get paid like this guy who somehow sent a text to Annie Guthrie. These public websites where you can easily obtain cell numbers and address information make it easy to send fake ransom letters. To my knowledge, no ransom note was left at the scene (Nancy’s home). These ransom notes started appearing once the story gained national attention after 48 hours. There’s no indication she was necessarily kidnapped outside of the fact that the pacemaker stopped connecting to her phone at 2am and the cameras stopped working right before or around that time. What is interesting is Savannah and these video messages to the captor. It seems like she’s addressing one particular ransom note, but the cops are also putting up billboards in neighboring areas asking for info. It kinda seems like they genuinely have no tips or any hot leads whatsoever on where she may be and the search in the home and Annie’s home was a way of buying time or hoping something is found. Not sure if the BIL is the suspect as Ashleigh Banfield suspected but if no signs of kidnapping are proven soon, he will definitely be zeroed in on as the suspect as he last saw her and dropped her off. It’s interesting Annie deleted photos of him of Facebook. Why? https://www.cbsnews.com/losangeles/news/fake-ransom-text-savannah-guthrie-mom-nancy-missing/ |

Update/clarification on not showing up for church via People.com
“ Despite it originally being reported that the family was called when Nancy failed to show up to a local church service, it has since been confirmed that, since the COVID pandemic, Nancy actually met with a group of friends in her Arizona neighborhood to watch a virtual service from Savannah’s New York church, Good Shepherd. When Nancy didn’t attend the regularly scheduled viewing and couldn’t be reached, her friends contacted her daughter, Annie, who had been with her the night before for dinner.” |
Did the cops determine if any pills were taken by the captor? Did the count in the bottle match the prescription’s last fill date? |
| In my opinion, if this was a family job, they would’ve done it a different night of the week not Saturday night where she was known to gather with friends the next day for church. It would give them more time to dispose of the bodies create alibi. |
There could have been argument and it was unplanned. |
