so, the smoke alarm never needed batteries in other apartments?? How does a 55 year old woman not know what that is?

I can see that maybe (maybe?) she wouldn't think of the smoke alarm, but she calls for maintenance "again." What maintenance worker at an apartment complex wouldn't check the smoke alarm?

Phoebe Buffay did it much, much better!

What was Carrie thinking with that saree getup? So flashy and inappropriate for the occasion. Also unflattering, since she no longer has the midriff for it.

I love Sarita Choudhury but her storyline is boring. A middle-aged woman lying to her parents about a fake bf? Gmab.

Why was she exiting her prior abode when off to diwali?

It's honestly unbelievable how selfish and unlikable Miranda has become. And she's not remotely cool enough for Che. Just pathetic.

She didn't like the new apt so returned almost immediately to the old one.

Loved the suit and heels, and the final look with the dress and Big(?)'s jacket. I'm liking her hair better than I ever have, both long and pulled back.

Charlotte trying so hard not to judge Miranda, lol. I like seeing her with her girls, she's a good mom who tries hard to adapt to her kids' needs.

I think her hair peaked in Paris

Can we discuss how inappropriate the surgeon was -- what was up with the "she went to Oberlin" snide comment and the sexual commentary/touching? He was slimy!

It’s not like Miranda’s been falling down drunk on a regular basis. I know some who regularly over imbibe a bit (imo) but always seem to stay on this side of the line. And although day drinking is a red flag, it hadn’t been clear cut.

Agree. Charlotte wasn't concerned until she saw the vodka bottles in her back pack. It was only obvious to the viewers until then.

Oh honey. They were warming up to this in literally the first episode. And certainly when she was waiting at a bar until it opened at ***11 a.m.*** to have a glass of wine ***before a class.*** You can’t be serious that you didn’t see signs until the backpack.

I think what's really sad, for me, as a fan of the original series...is how deeply out of touch the women are with the real Manhattan scene anymore. They are yesterday's news. They drink non-alcoholic wine in parks and don't know what "woke" means and seem mystified by non-binary people and Black authors (that elevator scene with Charlotte and Harry was cringey).

Do we need to see them gyrating at clubs? No. But they just don't seem like they're part of the fabric of the city. They're like midwestern transplants wandering around a ghost town. It's very sad.

I’m rewatching. They needed some comeuppance. Badly.

Am I supposed to believe Carrie has never even considered Botox and fillers, let alone had them for a couple of decades? And Charlotte sitting there with her weird facelift and too much lip filler saying “it’s not so bad” as though Botox is something other people do but not her.

Even more bizarre that it was the wonderful Jonathan Groff. He must have slummed in the part as a favor to SJP or her hubby.
