You think this will become a trend?

Is this post for real? Because every single food you mention is an enduring classic. But if you are really looking for new, interesting snack, here are a few I've been eating lately:

Chopped pecans in a small bowl mixed with a few tbsp. of blue cheese dressing and some garlic powder. Eat with a spoon. Yum.

Plain yogurt (I use Seven Stars Farms because it is THE BEST) mixed with a sliced banana, some dried cranberries and slivered almonds. Also yum.

Huge bunch of basil, a few cloves of garlic and a small bit of olive oil blended with my stick blender then mixed with mayo. I ate that slathered on toast for several days. Delish.

I'll post other oddball snacks I've had lately when they come to mind.

Trail mix.

The combinations are endless. The possibilities can vary. You design your own or stick with tradtional variations.

Plus it's healthy and people feel good (and cool) when they're flaunting something healthy (better than thoses buttercream cupcakes).

dim sum will make a comeback in an overly precious, overpriced way.

Asian street food

ribs ??? that's the dark horse. or maybe it's just me wishful thinking that ribs -- big, fatty, ribs -- will be elevated to artisnal efforts and a whole bunch of faux "Southern roadhouse rib joints" will open up in inappropriate places like lilywhite Bethesda
