This is the problem with dementia. Trump is largely living in the 70s (when NYC was crime ridden, when Iran was an existential threat, etc).

Kuwait got in a few shots, taking down 3 American planes "by accident"

It’s about $300M to replace those planes, btw. So glad the pilots and crew are safe.

The Iraq wars tell us this much. It led to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of civilians in the region! And the end result for the US was what? Expenses in money and American lives.

Trump and Hegseth haven’t put forth an objective for all this so I’m not even sure what a win will look like. Trump spent two hours blathering to the American people less than a week before starting this and barely said a word about it. Neither did the national defense strategy document that was released very recently.
