Trump’s Dementia

None of this was secret and the full repulsiveness was on display for the first term. Unforgivable that this person was voted in a second time. Completely unforgivable.

Trump's crazed address was as unnerving as Biden's debate | Opinion

But what stood out was Trump's frenetic, angry delivery. The 79-year-old seemed incapable of pacing himself and sounded, frankly, like an angry, unhinged old man.

It doesn't matter. We're so jaded by overexposure to Trump that it will barely register. And the rare thing that does register (like his especially terrible remarks about Rob Reiner) goes away after a day or two. When's the last time the media talked about that?

Biden's debate performance was infamous because the American people saw so little of him. And what they did see was limited to scripted speeches. The debate was his first appearance in a long time without a safety net, and he fell flat on his face. Say what you will about Trump, but he does put himself out there.

Would be great if he didn’t put himself out there and retired maybe to Russia? Or N Korea. He seems to love dictators.

Dozy Don back in action today.

A little of column a, a little of column b.

At about 35 sec he starts talking about Dr. James Jones and interrupts himself to address a woman in the audience saying she looks like Ivanka, and goes on about that for quite awhile about how he thought she was Ivanka but "didn't want to make a mistake"

At the very start he mentions the National Trust (aren't they suing him?) saying "I've always really gotten along well with them," when the normal syntax would be "gotten along really well"

Odd, while going on and on about Dr. Jones and the snakebite he says the book only sold 3 copies. What a weird way to recognize someone in public. (The book cover illustration is something else though)

The part about him thinking he saw Ivanka is very dementia like...

wtf? You don’t think he’s crossed the line multiple times already????!?

No.other.President would have gotten away with a 1/10th of what he’s said, done.

He truly is Teflon Don and I will never understand it.

Me, either. He has always been utterly repulsive on every possible level. I have never understood why anyone listens to anything he says or makes a deal with him or elects him POTUS, for God's sake, and thinks there will be any semblance of a positive outcome. He only knows how to lie, insult, and grift. I wish I had never had to listen to a single word he has said. Vomit.

I do. He is the daddy for people with bad daddies. Look at Michael Cohen. You can see a lot of the sycophants had bad family situations so they gravitate toward the narcissist. Susie Wiles had an alcoholic dad. The 27-year-old press secretary married her dad's 59-year-old friend (daddy issues).

The fitness and integrity bar for presidents has been lowered since 2017. No doubt about that.

The grifting and out right stealing has been raised to a very high bar.

This is accurate. People who see abuse as the natural order of things flock to him. Siding with the bully is cheaper than self-reflection and therapy (but much less effective).

I noticed that too… even news outlets I thought were biased have done reports on his failing health and cognitive decline. It’s very interesting to see.

Trump has usually brought more energy to his rally speeches. Tonight in North Carolina, his voice is a little whispery at times. He shifted to talking about his physical health, stamina and recent medical exams.

“I took a lot of physicals and I did something no other president has ever done. I took cognitive tests,” Trump said. He insisted that “I got perfect health,”

Fox News just pulled away from covering Trump’s speech, which has meandered from talking about gold thread to Hillary Clinton and the level of difficulty of his cognitive tests. But he actually did return to talking about the economy soon after.

Trump’s speech in North Carolina has now stretched past an hour, and people in the crowd are starting to walk out...

This medical analysis is as trenchant as the armchair virology that maintained that our immune systems were incapable of providing protection in the absence of a hastily developed vaccine in a consequence-free “regulatory” environment. These citizen physicians also championed the magical thinking that a thin layer of cotton over your face was the only thing giving you a shot at life when shopping at the grocery store or walking down a sidewalk. Compared to virology and molecular biophysics, geriatric medicine is a lay up for such learned residents of the DC area.

Since we have so many wise physicians now, can we diagnose why the Democratic Party was defeated by someone who is purported to be suffering from dementia? What does that outcome suggest?

Is it because the Party is incapable of conducting a primary over the objections of George Clooney?

Surely, there will be a report analyzing the root cause of this electoral outcome, right? Oh wait, I guess not. Moving right along, nothing to see here!

Many of us began questioning Biden's cognitive ability 18 months ago. Biden responded by stepping down. You think Trump would do the same?
