Completely agree with this. However many coaches will just tell you what you want to hear and then go and do the opposite. This is typical with new coaches to club. That is why talking to the parents of a current team is needed however typically isn't done because they are hard to find. |
Sounds more like the parent of a kid who was on his team but why not just say so? |
Extraordinarily, some clubs might actually view this as becoming too aggressive. Its baffling. When you procure any capability, widget or service.... For example, in a car: You want to understand the overall performance: reliability; speed/pickup, maintenance/sustainment costs, cargo/towing capacity, power/torque, technology and automation, efficiency in fuel and energy costs. In all these areas, we always apply this forward thinking to "things" we buy, but it always seems like struggle to facilitate in what should be the most routine questions. |
Majority of the info was gathered from this websites Great Falls page. I asked. They answered. We happen to have a game last weekend against great falls and he had his team play before us. I asked a parent on the sideline who the coach was and they verified it was him. I started a conversation with them and two other families chimed in. I watched the remainder of the game. |
Other parents do it all the time during games, tournaments and tryouts to collate information on the team/coach. I'm sure you've done that in the past regardless of this conversation. |
I am so confused by the no coach thing, very Id session or tryout, the coaches introduce themselves at the beginning. Did they send a message out or tell the parents, this team has no coach? It looks like they announced their coaches weeks ago--Why did they not finish hiring coaches for all teams then? How is it reasonable to expect people to commit to an expensive year of soccer with no coach? |
Normally to fill a lower-level team as a revenue effort (get as many parents as possible to pay who desperately want their kid to play travel). -They will produce X coach once they understand they have the overhead to cover it, however this will very likely be a very low-level, bottom of barrel and inexperienced coach. You better off trying out for another club or going back to recreation. |
Last year they hired the 2013 G white team coach late in the game and he is excellent. |
So you’re admitting that you’re regurgitating posts from here, while pretending that you have info from additional people. Both of SA’s teams played at Nike Park last Sunday. There were no games for 2014 boys or girls at Nike Park that day. If you don’t have a 2014, why would you approach parents you don’t know to ask them about a coach who will not be coaching your kid? You are making things up. |
So they did tryouts without a coach hired or did the original coach quit? |
Late in the game? Can you explain or did you mean the season? |
Yeah the parent stalker is creepy. Get a life dude |
You really need to shut up. I was there with my daughters team who played after them. I know crazy one family with two children who play travel sports. When he was named the coach for the the U11 boys team I posted and asked in the Great Falls group on here. Why is that an issue? I then chatted up some parents at the game. WHAT IS THE BIG DEAL? Why do you think I am lying? Who would lie about that? Go and look up where the 2013 Gold girls played this past weekend. NIKE PARK. |
You should stop posting so much identifying information about yourself. I bet I could look at a picture of that team and pick out who your daughter is based on your post syntax. Not good. |
They had tryouts and the coach that selected the team quit before the season started. So they hired Al and we love him. |
