This is so sick. I’m a white man, but white culture is responsible for this boy.

You are a stupid man to even comment like that.

No, they're exactly right. Not sure why you can't admit that and can only attack them.

I haven’t watched much of the trial, but from what I’ve read, KR’s parents are divorced and his mom lived in Antioch, IL, and his dad lived in Kenosha, WI, as did numerous other relatives. KR’s mom drove him across state lines in what could have been a routine custody exchange. The weapon didn’t cross state lines. It was provided to KR in by someone WI.

However, KR’s mom is the one who took him to a bar to share some beers (still underage, but lawful because he was accompanied by her) with a group of Proud Boys, wearing his “free as f**k” t-shirt and flashing the white supremacist OK sign for photos, while he was awaiting trial. There are definitely some issues with her parenting.

The trial has been rigged for Rittenhouse.

The trial has been rigged for Rittenhouse.

The trial has been rigged for Rittenhouse.

The judge was appointed by a democrat and the prosecutor got reamed because he was an idiot.

The elected judge just wants to get elected again, so he's held his licked finger up to the wind to see which way it's blowing, he's taking his free publicity, and hoping it works out for him, it's the Republican playbook right now, go figure.

He is not running again. He has said that. He will be 80 when the next election comes up. Please get your facts straight. I am a former prosecutor. This guy has crossed the line into possible mistrial; sanctions against him and he is one the way to ethics issues with the state bar. He is not good.

This was on the wall of my office:

The prosecutor is "the representative not of an ordinary party to a controversy, but of a sovereignty whose obligation to govern impartially is as compelling as its obligation to govern at all; and whose interest, therefore, in a criminal prosecution is not that it shall win a case, but that justice shall be done. As such, he is in a peculiar and very definite sense the servant of the law, the twofold aim of which is that guilt shall not escape or innocence suffer. He may prosecute with earnestness and vigor-- indeed, he should do so. But, while he may strike hard blows, he is not at liberty to strike foul ones. It is as much his duty to refrain from improper methods calculated to produce a wrongful conviction as it is to use every legitimate means to bring about a just one." [i]Berger v. US

Please, it's all very political and if you are a former prosecutor you ought to know that. Crim law is rarely about the truth, right or wrong, or guilty or innocent, it is about getting the jury to buy into your version of the truth. And since the Gov't rarely loses, what is the stat, that the Gov't only loses 10% of the time, then if they do lose this time there is a reason for it that has nothing to do with the facts, or what normally happens.

Prosecutors aren't the most brilliant and they aren't magicians, they win because most people don't think the Gov't would bring charges against an innocent guy. Very few wins have anything to do with anything noble like the truth or the skill of the lawyer. If you are a former prosecutor then you would know that, oh wait...

Signed someone who doesn't feel the need to end an anonymous internet post with but wait "I'm a Lawyer!" Yeah, right Google keyboard warrior!

None of this is right. Government wins 97% of time. Sure there are prosecutors who do not care about the truth. They are bad. Most care deeply and would drop their case in a heartbeat if the facts suggested it. Normally by trial that has already happened. Yes facts matter. As do the lawyers. But they have to play fair.

It’s remarkable how unlikable that prosecutor is.

Just like the judge - yet another cisgender white male. This whole thing is rotten.

Has there been a single likable person in that courtroom?

I actually like both the defense attorneys. Especially the bald guy.

I guess when you’re defending an innocent client it’s easy to be likable though.

I honestly have the urge to smack him in the face when he’s talking and that’s not something that’s ever happened to me before.

I feel like the prosecution would have been better off literally not saying anything at all, and not calling any witnesses. All they have done is make their case worse.

It’s funny that the judge hinted to him today that he should STFU but the prosecutor is such a narcissist that he just wouldn’t take the hint. He insisted that he wants to talk for several hours to close up his case when the judge thinks he should take less than an hour and that anything longer is unnecessary and just puts more strain on the jury.

The prosecutor is so unlikable and everything he says just makes people dislike him more and realize even more how completely inappropriate it is that this case is even being tried.

The absolutely terrible prosecution could actually explain why these cities have such a high crime rate. If nobody convicts criminals then they’re just free to commit more crimes.

They need better prosecutors. Seriously.

Yeah, I’d say it’s rigged.

I tracked down an interview with her from last year and I honestly think she may be developmentally disabled. I'm not saying they shouldn't be parents but I think she was ill equipped to handle a deceptive teenaged boy. By deceptive I mean him giving another adult the money to buy him an AR-15. He kept the gun at that adult's home. What mother allows her high school child to go spend the night with a grown adult man who is not a relative? I bet Kyle files for SSDI due to the PTSD he will suffer from shooting people as soon as mommy finishes spending the millions they raised from right wing donors. We will be carrying this little freak the rest of his miserable life.
