TIFWIW, but I have not received the official offer yet from Spirit and I feel pretty confident my daughter will get one. Also, I assume someone, perhaps even me, will post that offers have come out once the emails are delivered, and nothing has been posted yet. There's another ID session still left for the VA DA and I'm assuming they'll wait until after that.

My daughter went to recent Spirit ID session and was asked for her name multiple tones by coaching staff but we haven’t heard a word. She will go on 22nd also, and hopefully after that they will start to make offers? Or will they be like Arlington and then have invite only sessions?

I miss the days of tryouts being during a set time period so you had a time frame of expecting to hear decisions!!

They are going to really have to get on those offers because May is when everyone else starts tryouts right? plus previous posts here described the time frame to expect. second half of april.

Arlington is having open ID sessions again next week.

Not to fan any fire, but quite frankly, the 22nd is an interesting date to hold the DA ID session as younger local ECNL players are going to be out of town.

Think Spirit has given some offers already for some 05s....

^^^I had heard that 05 girls were told they were going to be receiving Spirit offers in April but have the “official” offers come yet?

I bet there is more certainty after april 22. The current players, at least at 04 and 03, are hearing that many of them will not be coming back next year. My guess is that coaches are evaluating both current players and new players across last weekend’s showcase, this week’s training sessions (which included prospective players), games tomorrow and next Saturday, and the last open ID session on the 22nd, then all the info will come out at once after the 23rd. Some of the 05s might be asked to play up to 04 which is why 05 offers won’t happen earlier IMHO.

This is the most ill informed BS I have read in a while.

03's on the chopping block because of the age group merger next year. Its tough for all 03's at every DA club across the country.

04's being replaced with 05's? Be for real. That's not happening.

Some 05's have been given offers for the 05 team. Some are allowed to attend 04 practices.

Why doesn't the Spirit VA DA have a U15 head coach? They have one for all the other groups.

My son went to three of the Arlington DA tryouts in March, the first by signing up for it, the other two by invitation from the coaches. After tryouts were over, we received a letter saying that in April there would be invite only sessions and that we should enjoy spring break and that we would be hearing back from them shortly. I took this to mean that my son was still being evaluated. He had not been cut, but was in the pool of players that they were planning to contact in April. Does anyone have any info on what's happening with the Arlington DA process? It's April 12. Since that letter in March saying we'd be contacted, we have not heard anything further from them.

I would assume that your son didn't make the cut as there were invite only sessions since then.

It would be nice to know something definite-people can’t wait forever to make decisions, esp if trying out for multiple teams.
