DP and I agree with this. My dad pointed out to me many years ago that Abbie Hoffman rarely got arrested, he knew when to dip.

I posted a thread today regarding what we can do, and the suggestions so far are embarking on no spending and of course running and/or supporting young viable candidates. I like these ideas and am racking my brain for additional constructive suggestions.

I'm really concerned about the details of this $50,000 hiring bonus new ICE agents are getting.

For many of them, that money is more than a year's salary. I'm sure many have great need of the cash and have used it to get out of debt ot get current on rent or mortgage, pay back taxes and back child support. All the things you should do if you get a large infusion of cash.

But once that bonus is spent - are they obligated to work for a certain lenth of time? If they want to quit, do you they have to return the money? Because that's a serious disincentive to quit. And wouldn't it put them under even greater pressure to not be fired, to do whatever they are told, even if they believe it is illegal? Because being fired doesn't just mean losing job and benefits, it means you have to pay back the $50,000?

A military force who answers to no one except the Trump handlers

They are recruiting from current law enforcement because they are paying SOOO much more than typical LEO salaries.
