He was not that drunk, girl was drunk and almost falling but he was holding her with one arm and taking pictures/video with other arm.

He used translator in his initial interrogation but he has seen news about what inconsistent stories he told in the media coverage. And now a week later he comes up with new information that he was a hero saving her. Really?

Why do you keep nannering on about him holding a phone? He was drunk enough to puke all over the beach (fact). Have you ever been puke-drunk? That's an advanced stage of intoxication.

I thought that too at first. He’s not holding up a phone. It’s a plastic cup.

I have been puke-drunk myself once and helped several people puking after getting drunk. Have you? Never saw anyone puking an hour after holding a drunk person in arm while taking pictures. Yes, he puked at the beach as being reported as a fact, do we know if he puked cause he was drunk or he swallowed ocean water or something else?

Lord helpus if ANY of you on this thread are involved in any sort of investigation at all. Other than investigating your own belly-button.

Is DR trying to protect their resort, sea, businessses, resort staff including bartenders? If this was Clue, who are the players?:
A wave
Young man last to have seen the young women
Her friends with the young women
the other dude with the group before going back to hotel
Bartenders
Resort staff
Random people on beach
Random people from outside resort

“ INTERPOL has issued a Yellow Notice, and Dominican police are re-interviewing witnesses while searching land and sea.”

Seems LE is not as certain as boy mom posters that his story is 100% credible.

May she be found safe or at least may her family get closure.

How the hell would any poster know the answer to your rhetorical question?

We do not in fact know if he vomited at all.

His varying claims are not “facts.”

Yes, in other images the cup is clearly visible.

She was stumbling far more than anyone else, was she drugged?

He’s innocent until proven guilty, drunk or sober.

The investigation is continuing.

It’s possible that he harmed her.

Unlikely that he kidnapped her.

A 3rd party may have done so.

Or she could have drowned, time may tell.

I don’t understand what people are suggesting here. That he murdered her? Via strangulation or whacking her head with a rock, or drowning her? And then swam the body a ways out to sea? Or what? It really would not be a great way to cover up a murder. He would know the body is fairly likely to be recovered, and quite likely to have the cause of death investigated (for signs of a struggle- which there very likely would have been, or alternate cause of death). And all this without anyone seeing anything.

He had no vehicle or easy means of disposing of the body elsewhere- and there are cameras and security everywhere in this resort area (even at night) if he’d tried to come up from the beach. In the same way he was captured returning to the hotel in the AM. And no one would notice he is lugging a dead body around??

Or working with a human trafficking ring? That is….incredibly unlikely. .

In fact, if he did kill her, the ocean did cover it up. Some known to have drowned there have never been recovered.

Men kill women every day, sometimes on purpose, sometimes accidentally.

Investigations are ongoing.

Anonymous wrote:If you keep somebody awake and under stress for a long enough period of time they will even confess to things they didn't do. Had a case in my city where a woman was murdered (lots of evidence leading to a car thief whose phone was in the area, although not enough to convict). But her psych med taking ex boyfriend turned himself in to police because he was afraid maybe he did it because he couldn't account for his time. They had to tell him to get lost because he was just delusional due to panic and upset and pre-existing mental health issues.

None of this speculative chit chat is going to result in this poor girl being found alive. How about we let this thread fade so people who casually knew her won't have to run across these random speculations? People sitting around accusing the young guy are also potentially contributing to destroying his life if he is innocent. Let the police do their jobs. DCUM isn't going to crack this case.

Feel free to scroll past this thread.

There are thousands of articles, blogs, tik toks, etc. and this is a discussion forum. The missing girl is a local and it’s a parenting site, of course it is of interest. Participation is voluntary.

It's just kind of sad that the most popular threads on here are crime-related (Luigi, this one, Fairfax murder) and don't really have much to do with parenting.

Then after that it seems to be flame wars about Meghan Markle.

Feel free to start other threads or leave the board.

In your opinion.

He was clutching something in his shorts pocket on the way back. Per his statement he did not have his phone or room key. Wonder what he was being so careful about?

The new video showing her puking right before she leaves for the beach is sad. And new video showing her going to beach from different angle. She could barely stand. Where the heck where her friends. And I don't think she was in a position to consent to anything he wanted to do. There is a line there and I think it was crossed.

A college student is an adult, so you have no say. However, you should raise kids who are smart enough to know to go on a spring break trip or drink and be out at 4 am.
