Good club players don't automatically make good HS teams. There is much more to it. What i'm trying to understand is if there's more parity or if these teams are as bad as everyone says. Going to watch a few games soon but here's hoping it's just covid and talent dilution. Lax here has always been fun to watch. |

Today’s games;
St Stephen/St Agnes vs St Christopher's VA Mount St. Joseph vs Good Counsel DeMatha vs Christ The King NC McNamara vs Ireton St Marys Ryken vs St Johns Paul VI vs Heights O'Connell vs Gonzaga Easy wins for GZ/SJC Interesting tests for Good Counsel, PVI, & DeMatha |
These GZ and SJC games are why they need two divisions. |
Heights barely beat Sidwell Friends. PVI has easy win. |
Christ the King in NC is average at best....Dematha rolls. |
Heights almost got a win last season this season PVI lost top attack, one good D pole and graduated D1 goalie. It remains to be seen if this PVI team is as good as last season. Heights gets the upset win. |
PVI is loaded with D1 commits this season. |
| Agree, PVI will give Gonzaga all it can handle, and will stay in there with SJC for a bit. |
| 10-7 PVI over heights. Very close game in 4th quarter. |
|
SSSA 16-4 over St. Christopher’s
|
| Yeah, so maybe slow the PVI roll a little, huh? |
PVI is phenomenal this year. The heights just put up a good fight. Rankings go SJC PVI GZ Bullis Prep |
| Yorktown drops to 0-2 with another L today. |
I’m questioning how good PVI really is. I would have thought they would have knocked the piss out of the Heights yesterday but they really didn’t. They had a big lead in the first half but Heights made it a little interesting in the 2nd half. Reminder the Heights only beat Sidwell Friends by a goal. This is how I would rank the top 6 (IAC, WCAC teams only) 1. SJC 2. GZ 3. Prep 4. Bullis 5. PVI 6. St Stephens HM: Landon, STA |
I think the Heights Sidwell result was the big anomaly. Heights doesn't have the athletes to compete with top level area talent but has year-round lacrosse players. |
