Add st Mary’s to the list also

STM? 🥴

Out of all the teams I have seen play in person or watched online, I'd rank them as the following.

1. SJC (clear cut favorite)
2. Saint Mary's Annapolis
3. Boys Latin
4. Calvert Hall
5. Gonzaga
6. Spalding
7. McDonogh
8. Bullis
9. Georgetown Prep
10. Paul VI

St. John’s
Gonzaga
PVI
STM
BL
CH
McDonogh
STM
Bullis
SSSA

you are clearly affiliated with the WCAC.

1. you rank Saint Mary's twice
2. Saint Mary's destroyed Landon and Prep, neither game was remotely close
3. PVI has no quality wins except Saint Stephens (and it remains to be seen if the Saints are contenders in the IAC this Spring)

Gonzaga is very good this season. I say they will have an upset over SJC and PVI.

When Zaga plays PVI in lacrosse, they are NEVER the underdog. Last year might have been the exception with it being a COVID season and Gonzaga had their worst season in 10 years.

Given what Gonzaga has done thus far, with a convincing win over Landon and Loyola Blackfield, and knocking off McDonogh, they will be the favorite when playing PVI.

Regardless, it will be a great game.

Bullis beat DeMatha by only a goal. IAC is way down.

But the idea of GZ beating SJC is laughable. SJC by 9

It's going to be hard for anyone to beat SJC. I do thing GZ on their best day could beat SJC on their worst, BUT I don't think the stars align for that this year 1) It's at SJC 2) It's an early game so it will be hard to get GZ students there in time after school.

The game is on April Fools Day though - so...

PVI should be ranked. WCAC may be best conference in US this year.

They have a tough schedule this year. Good for them!

Everything goes out the window in a rivalry game. The team who wants it most that day will win the game.

You could have just said, [insert inane sports cliche], and we'd all be better for it.

Why should PVI be ranked in the top 25? for beating St Stephens? Norfolk academy?

WCAC has 3 good teams in the league. (SJC is in a class of their own) The bottom half of the league is really really weak and on par with some teams from the MAC. (Ryken, O'Connell, Ireton, Heights, Good Counsel, Bishop McNamara)

Gonzaga is ranked too high on the latest rankings... Loyola is not any good this year (scoring 3 goals against Prep tells you everything you need to know) and beating Landon is just not the same these days. McDonogh was a great win for the Eagles. Hopefully, they can beat Culver next week!

People getting way over their skis after some early wins by GZ and PVI. Especially PVI. At least the GZ wins are quality. Reality will settle in soon enough for both.
Anonymous
Given the way posters were describing GZ's program a few weeks ago I think there may be some crows being eaten.....

Could any of this be due to the time off caused by COVID?

Absolutely
