China cant take over Taiwan without leveling the island. But they want the semiconductor plants.

You were only born in the 70's. So you may forget this little thing that happened in Iran in the 80's called the Iran-Iraq war.

The war in which 200,000 - 300,000 Iranians died. And we, the US, supported the other side (Iraq) led by our great ally Saddam Hussein. We supported Saddam financially with billions of our dollars, supplied him with weapons, and supported him diplomatically, including by removing Iraq from a terrorism list.

Look into that war. It was brutal. And we funded it.

No one is saying the Iranian government are the good guys here. But there was nothing acute happening that prompted this military action. There was no nuclear threat, no ICBM threat, no terrorist threat, nothing. We had a deal with the government that Trump ripped up. THAT is why we are at war today, because Trump is a racist and couldn't give credit to Obama for bringing Iran into the international fold. So US soldiers will die because of it.
