I agree! I am sick and tired of watching high school players get bad concussions and head injuries from dangerous and aimless shots. If YT is so good, why can't they aim their shots to not hit other players in the face??? Hope #12 from West Springfield is doing all right after that idiotic shot.

I think the biggest thing YT gets away with is constant charges especially by #27. She is going to hurt someone or be concussed before end of season.

YT's dangerous shot was a foul, clearly not intended to hit the defended, and properly carded. We all want the game to be safe for the players. But saying that YT "gets away" with constant charges is simply not true. If there was a charge, it would be called (at least most of the time, refs are human). Sometimes there's simply a talent gap that may appear dangerous to some, but it's really just a strong attacking player getting to spots before a slower defender. #27 just happens to be one of those really talented players. We can't ask the stronger players to go soft because a parent (not the refs) think they are charging.

Definitely intentional and reckless. Given YT's talent gap they should know how to not shoot the ball at a defenders head. Should've been a red card.

YT is notoriously physical, it goes both ways.

Hope #12 is doing well. The shot was dangerous and properly carded. Unfortunately, even at the highest levels, a dangerous shot or other major penalty happen occasionally. However, you are making it seem like YT repeatedly commits dangerous shots. Not true.

WS was a dirty team in a physical game that the refs did a poor job both ways of calling. They were cross checking and swinging sticks all night. I'm glad our girls came out okay. Their coach was high fiving and fist bumping girls for hard checks and yelling for them to attack our girls with the ball. It was clear they were outclassed, as they didn't have the speed to win draws out on the circle, couldn't score after halftime, and their goalie had only like 2 saves after the 1st quarter and was overmatched, hopping over low shots and dropping down on high shots like she was trying not to get hit. YT was up double digits in the 4th and Coach T had the bench in just trying to run it out and the WS coach still had her starters in cross checking and chasing our girls around. YOU'RE NOT GOING TO WIN THE GAME AT THAT POINT. We felt bad for the girls on their bench that never got in cause they have such a nasty coach. It's Public HS lacrosse for chrissake. Not sure what she was trying to prove, but it is clear she is taking that program down the toilet with her approach. It's sad cause they used to be a credible program under BP.

This will be a close game. No shows may be the deciding factor. Wouldn't be shocked at a Madison win, but there's a reason YT has a huge winning streak. Until proven otherwise, I would take YT in a close one. 12-10.
