Why no mention of Marc Anthony, who has been married and divorced more times than any of them?

And who thought he'd be a good husband and father for her kids?

Nothing is ever a man's fault, huh?

Who said that? It's why women should choose wisely. Repeated dissolution of relationships indicates a big ole problem with the one choosing all these troubled, irresponsible men.

Marc Anthony chased JLo her entire life until she married him.

And yes, you are implying that nothing is ever a man's fault.

Nope. Saying pick a guy who won't be doing things and engaging in behaviors that are his fault. Pick the kind of loving, kind, and supportive guy who will make a great partner. They're out there, I promise you.

Sure there are! Maybe 1 for every half million women. Not great for a woman like JLo who can't be alone.

PP here. I disagree. I'm an older DCUM poster and think there's too much emphasis today on money and earning money. Scale back and appreciate a lower key lifestyle with a really good partner who's kind, trustworthy, and loving with a sense of humor. IMHO, it's worth it!

Anonymous wrote:ugh he sucks so bad- he totally reached out to her when everything was going right for her and now that she is suffering in her career he totally checks out. The whole point of marriage or a relationship is to support someone when they are down and put yourself and your own issues on the back burner. Even if the marriage wasn't long term, and he realized that, he could still have stayed and supported her through the atlas reviews and gone to the met gala. he's such a selfish asshat,. she is being who she is, and really should've known better- he is very changeable and fair weather.

The timing of this does look super shady on his part. She has two movies come out along with an album, and a tour upcoming (now cancelled) and in the middle of press run for that Netflix movie, and this is when Ben decides to no longer be able to take it? Even though his partners have stuck by him through severe addiction and infidelity? Really nasty of him to make a really important time in her career, esp. as an older woman, all about himself.

Then again, it makes sense. It's his pattern (just like choosing a-hole men is Jennifer's pattern). Ben gave tbat interview, which he later tried to walk back, about how being miserable in his marriage to Jennifer Garner made him drink more. Blaming the woman, blaming things outside himself. And now again, it's the woman who's the problem to him ("she's just such an attention-seeker!").

Addicts always blame people but themselves. It’s not Jennifer Garner or Lopez’s fault he doesn’t know how to handle alcohol and drink like an adult at 50+

And it's not Ben's fault that JLo can't put relationships and family as priorities above her career and looks.

She cancelled her tour to tend to her family issues right now. And for everyone gloating that it's due to low sales, an article came out that 78% of tickets have sold, so it isn't a financial issue with the tour.

She is present at her family's events, and not because she has someone to babysit her and make sure she shows (like Ben has in both of his Jennifers).

Oh, sure! I'm glad between rehearsals, makeup/dress sessions, rehearsals, traveling, performances, dates, live-in boyfriends, fiances, breakups, marriages, and divorces she's able to atrend some family events.

She is a working mother. Many people on this website are. Perhaps you are?

What is the issue here? Should she stop working, let Ben be the only one with a job?

Please. Working moms and dads don't need to be working THAT hard and changing partners every few years.

Do you hate her because she is beautiful, a millionaire, Latina, or a woman? Or you don’t even know why?

Since I'm a woman from Florida and have Latinas in my family, your comment is ridiculous. I don't care enough to hate an entertainer. I do think kids need stabiliry and security for their emotional development. That's not the same as wealth.

"Some of my best friends are Latinas! I can't be racist!"

+1 Are people still using this justification? This thread is full of racists and misogynist.

So weak and overused.

But true.

Shouldn't you be equally hammering down on Jennifer Garner then?

Start a Jennifer Garner analysis thread, and we will -- although I don't believe she has been in nearly as many relationships as JLo starting with Puff Diddy Daddy.

And in Hollywood, virtually none. I’ve said it before, her 20-year quest to be part of power couple has been horribly misguided.

I saw the pics of her at Giorgio Baldi for dinner last night. I love the crochet (or maybe knit?) dress.

JLo should have heeded Jane Fonda's excellent advice:

"I want you to know that I don’t entirely know why, but I feel invested in you and Ben, and I really want this to work,” Fonda tells Lopez in the documentary, according to Variety and verified by TODAY.com. “However, this is my concern. Like, it feels too much like you’re trying to prove something instead of just living it. You know, every other photograph is the two of you kissing and the two of you hugging.”

She looks glum but physically she’s never looked better.

Have you seen that video where she spots the paps and tries to kiss Ben? He was over it. Jane was right. She was trying too hard and it wasn't needed

I'm an older poster as well. I agree in principle and date all sorts of people, but there are just as many rotten poor men as there are rotten rich ones.
But we're not talking about us normies. This is JLo. Do you really think it's appropriate for her to date an IHOP manager or something?
Liz Taylor, another woman who married and divorced a bunch of times, also tried her luck with a normal guy, and that didn't seem to work any better.

Jane Fonda with some hard-earned wisdom. Another one with a bad picker.

She used to overlaps her relationships too. She's messy but has chilled out after Ben humbled her.

At least Garner keeps it out of the tabloids.
