Fairfax County Double Murder

How do you know all this? I can imagine that if CB's parents have started to believe that BB had some role in their daughter's murder, the relationship would be strained. They most likely wouldn't know who to trust until all the investigations are over. Also since details about the AU/BB affair have come out I can't imagine they are on speaking terms.

Better to have someone that at least pay for her commissary, she won’t have anyone to do so if BB is arrested. But rest assured that as soon as she’s convicted and assuming he’s free, he’ll forget that she existed… But she probably believes in him. She’s in her 20’s and has literally no one else.
He probably also is making her believe he’s gonna get her out. I don’t see any scenario where she flips…

The plea would offer her a short sentence after which she would return to Brazil is my assumption. Her family can certainly add money to her jail account.

Eh, I think it's only a matter of time.

I think she was only arrested when she was because LE wanted her to stay in the US. LE has been clear from almost the start that they didn't believe this was a case of an intruder shot in self-defense/defense of another. With Juliana in jail they have time to put together the forensic and circumstantial case. And when they have that, then they lean on her with an offer of a plea to a lesser charge.

I think FCPD has backed itself into a corner. They pretty much came out and said "This is like Mark Winger, case closed, donut time". But they clearly haven't been able to make a clear case from all the forensics they uncovered over the last year (almost!). They (supposedly) never even went to JR's apartment to check for any evidence. So they've basically just focused on 1 theory (husband guilty) since the start, which seems lazy to me. If they actually had evidence, they should have arrested both of them immediately.

Like what was the reason to send in a SWAT team to arrest the AU at the Bus Stop when she was WITH the KID? I thought FCPD cared about the "only victim".
AU had been staying in town and working for almost 6 mo's and suddenly they remembered she's an immigrant with a expiring visa.

If AU and BB are such dangerous people that you need a SWAT team to arrest them, then what does that say about FCPD's incompetence letting them roam the streets freely for a year+? By all accounts AU and BB were trying to return to a "normal life" before FCPD came in guns blazing. AU's going to get screwed based on the technicalities of self-defense law, which we all know that 20-yr-old immigrant nannys are experts on.

First, do you have anything to back up the assertion that they never searched JR's apartment or that the AP was arrested by a "SWAT" team. Because I haven't seen any of that in the press.

Maybe FCPD has backed itself into a corner, but I'm not going to blame them for trying to make a case. I don't believe for one second the husband and au pair are innocent here.

FCPD sent a whole SWAT team to BB's house to arrest AU, but MISSED her, because she was out with the kid at the bus stop. Then these clowns rolled over to the bus stop with armored vehicles and arrested the AU in front all of the kids. Someone in the house must have told them where AU was. They apparently then searched BB's house again and took all his electronics.

Meanwhile the FCPD police chief was giving an interview on a sports podcast, saying "We have eyes on them at all times". But apparently the nobody in the department can read a school bus schedule.

Interesting. Obviously we don’t know if he is paying her bills or not. I wonder if that’s something prosecutors can find out and present to a jury, or whether it’s privileged information.

Her mother gave an interview in Brazil, upthread or google it. She stated that the family are not paying for her lawyer and mom complained Brazil has not offered help. She does not have a public defender, so, yes, BB is paying.

Where is that idea coming from? Here for the preliminary hearing?

A dad who didn't even care to write an obituary for her mom

Is that true? Did not even go through the motions? He is a cold character.

She has had several bond hearings and has not been released. They likely have enough to convict her, the plea deal is just about shortening time she will serve. I don't see her being released. I am curious what evidence they have that JR was shot while BB was out of the house. That blows up the entire narrative her lawyer tried to sell.

But now every post of mine seems to be gone.

What possessed you to name a minor child?!!
Anonymous
"Friend" why has BB cut the child off from her maternal relatives and the beloved former AP? And do not name the minor child in your reply.

I missed "friend's" posts but imagine BB blames JR and CB for both their deaths and what he sees as the unfair victimization of AP and himself being parted from his love. Am I close?

I live in the neighborhood. There was no "SWAT" team involved in arresting the AP. That is wild speculation and, frankly, inflammatory and diversionary. Those comments should be deleted by the moderator.

I imagine they would especially want to be in touch with the little girl under those circumstances, no? Of course, BB & AP would not have wanted her to share that she slept in mommy's bed, kissed daddy, etc. Just an awful situation re: the child.

This. Also, she was arrested on her way back to the house, NOT at the bus stop in front of the children. It was in news accounts.

"friend" previously said something to the effect of grief is complicated.

He also said the friend group was trying to convince BB to go to NY but BB the caring father got advice from a child trauma specialist that it was best not to move as not to put additional changes on the child. Yet, BB thought it was ok to have AP move into Mommy's room and replace pics of Mommy with the new couple. "Friend" said BB said it was to hard to see CB's pics in the house so therapist said it was ok to put them away.

Uh, ok.

Particularly in these circumstances, I would think!
