That is sad. That 05 team was one of the best in the region.

Gus had the 2nd 05 team which was a mixture of 05/06s. Marvin has the 04s.

Everyone came back on the DA/GA 05 team.

Marvin is coaching the 05/06 team which lost several players again this year. That is the "05 team" that the PP was referring to, not the 05 GA team although Christian plans to use players from his 05 GA team to round out the roster for the 05 United team as needed assuming NCSL has games.

Gus and Marvin were the two most liked coaches at FCV.

Very true. Gus and Marvin were also the most effective coaches in addition to being the most well liked. Marvin will be in high demand and spread very thin this year.

They hired three coaches and a keeper coach.

Isn’t one of the coaches Kurt from South County?

I hope not

Kurt Gordon is listed as a coach on the 05 TSJFCV team on the GA website, Bobby's wife is, too.

Kurt is the 05 United Coach (2nd Team).

Didn't FCV 05 (GA) lose a player to Loudoun and another to injury? It is unclear who will coach the 05 GA team. Is there a chance that Gus returns.

No chance that Gus returns and he was never a DA/GA coach anyway.

The FCV 05 GA (formerly DA) team brought everyone back and added 1. Christian was the coach last year and will remain the coach this year, although all coaches pitch in and every GA teams gets some time with each coach.

Gus was a DA coach last year and would have been a GA coach this year. I'll won't say he'll never come back, but long odds.

What were scores against metro?

Based on yesterday's cores, FCV needs to find better competition.
Anonymous
Maybe they should try to get into the ECNL

Gus has probably been hired and fired from FCV a half dozen times now. Barring something egregious or life changing, I'd say the odds are decent.

They’d have to move out of area to get better competition. ECNL in this area is Metro caliber.

Metro can't even beat bottom of the barrel BRYC, so not really a comparison to the rest of ECNL. You've already forgotten the Bethesda scrimmages? Also, has FCV ever attempted to play McLean? Bobby's scared. He knows Clyde, Nadir, and Kevin are all better coaches, but he had the DA thing going on for a few years. Now he's got Covid slowing down the migration. Lucky guy.

FCV's player will leave between the end of the Fall and May for ECNL teams.

FCV needs to consider a merger with BRYC because they aren't getting in the ECNL on their own. Would make sense with St. James Springfield location too
