It won’t work at Prep.

Prep parents will revolt when legacy kids won’t see the field.

McD won three championships because Million ran the recruiting while his sons were there, and brought in the best players from their club team.

The overwhelming majority of top lax programs players played as sophomores. The Penn kid only got in bc a GP kid flushed out academically. He was far and away the exception and not the rule. Bullis has not fallen off except for not as many lax scholarships they are full bore on hoops and rededicated to football.

What the sport really needs is a way to break the commitment for the senior year stars.

If you have no ties and you think your kid is that good, go where he’ll play asap. Colleges care about grades and stats.

The best coaches have to make a huge difference, right? From what I can tell a fair of recruited lacrosse kids either switch schools or don’t make it to senior year at some of the local schools for some reason. Turnover must mean something. Bodies change of course but the right coach can make all the difference.

Through the years I have seen scores of legacy boys at Prep “ride the pine” and it’s never been an issue.

You are making stuff up to support an agenda.

And be honest, Austin Stewart ran their offense with Millon running the recruiting, and not Hilgy. Very nice guy but just not as advertised.

You’re probably new to the forum. There are multiple posts by GP parents saying that Hilgartner will have to pay attention to the parents of locals while attacking boarders virtually by name. GP parents hate boarders and transfers. Those posts even threatened donations so drop the BS.

Hilgartner was brought in because GP had nobody else to choose from. He is good but nothing like his dad.

These schools don’t care about small donations anymore, they are seeking 5 zero donations. Anything less doesnt get much attention.

That may be true but the CCC set don’t see it that way.

11-2 GC
It was livestreamed

As bad as that sounds, it was actually even worse. It was 8-0 for GC at halftime when the starters were pulled and the only points DM had were from the GC transfer in garbage time. DM never even threatened to score outside of those two shots.

We know Dematha is bad, whyyyyy do people keep beating this dead horse? It’s so boring. Enough!!

It does beg the question, though, what happened? Its one thing to lose players to graduation, but this fall from grace is unprecedented.

They had 16 seniors last year. This year they have 4-5 good players but it looks like some of their starters can’t catch and throw. They were typically 4-6th place previous to last year so they are back to normal. Add in the coaching fiasco two years ago and they missed two recruiting years.

Bullis has more than 4-5 good players. The defense is very solid. Look at their commits. It's depth.

That person was talking about Dematha I believe, not Bullis.

They were, except that DeMatha doesn’t even have 4-5 good players. They have an excellent FOGO who doesn’t even play every game and literally nobody else. Everybody else is either not able to play at the next level or is going to a tier 5 or lower school. They have some very good athletes on defense and some talent on offense but without direction or coaching they cant compete. Tge me beat perennial bottom feeder BN, a depleted SMR, a Virginia public, and a B level bottom feeder from the eastern shore. And they had to come back in 3 on those. Bullis is no where near that level. They just got their bell rung with time to adjust.

Those posts do not exist from GP parents. That is absurd.

Must be a GP parent covering their own butt. It’s a well known fact that GP parents have a total disdain for boarders. The problem is that in every sport it’s the boarders that make them competitive.
