NEW: New York will soon send its 'first-ever Trumpflation refund' checks to taxpayers. The NY Department of Taxation will send refund checks to over 8 million New Yorkers starting at the end of September. The exact amount paid will depend on the taxpayer's filing status and their adjusted gross income for the 2023 tax year. New York Governor Kathy Hochul first announced the program in May. The one-time payments aim to provide financial relief from higher sales taxes due to Trumpflation.

Another poll by the American Research Group out today is just brutal on the economy. The percent of people who think the economy is going to get worse has gone from 25% in September 2024 to 61% in September 2025!

Americans’ view of the direction of the country dipped in September, driven by Republicans increasingly saying they’re dissatisfied with where things are going, according to new polling from Gallup released Monday.

Twenty nine percent of Americans are satisfied with the direction of the country, Gallup found, the lowest percentage since Trump came back to office in January. The percentage of Democrats satisfied stayed near 1% and independents remained at around 23%.

If this continues this is the death knell. If you try to rig an election when people are this down about the economy you are cruisin' for a bruisin'. I guess they can try a desperate slashing of interest rates but I don't know if that's going to work.

Nope. They’ve drank the cyanide laced kool-aid. They will say that Trump’s people are keeping pertinent information from him because if Trump
Knew what was really happening, he would help them.
