Tell me again why we aren’t opening elementary schools in at least a hybrid format?

Because even though we all voted, our insane chancellor last week said on the webinar that now that the school year has begun, switching to a hybrid is impossible so it’s off the table.

Vote these people out. The mayor and everyone else need to go. And don’t even get me started on my son’s teacher who tweets daily about not opening schools meanwhile is off hugging people at pumpkin patches and posting photos.

I hope we can afford private school next year. I do not trust these people to make good decisions.

Hugging people you are close to at a pumpkin patch hardly sounds like a big deal...unless you were there.

I don't blame teachers, a pumpkin patch isn't an enclosed room. Also I'm so tired of these anecdotal replies. There have always been sh*tty teachers, ALWAYS. The majority are great, don't forget that.

Also I agree, I wish the chancellor would go. Such a failure in leadership. Hybrid was the way to go. If there weren't enough teachers, I'd like to see the DATA to back that up.
If it's true plan B could have been 1 day in school for everyone, DL the rest. CARES for kids who need it.

I actually do think CARES is good for those who REALLY need it but we need to address a majority of student needs.
