Should white women who marry "ethnic" men change their last names?

Anonymous
OP is racist.

But women shouldn’t change their names no matter the circumstances.

I too am amazed at what is permitted to be posted on these boards This question is racist in many ways. Makes you wonder the agenda here. A good test is to reverse the question and ask if a minority woman should be permitted to take a white mans last name. And before you say it isnt the same consider the vile comments being made against jews on columbias campus as we sit here. Imagine if these comments were made about African americans or homosexuals. The lack of character and common sense made in the name of diversity is astounding. The only good news is the stupidity and hypocrisy is being exposed

How about Madison Kuznarowicz? You get white and ethnic at the same time. 🤪

Too much paperwork. Married for papers which is already a lot of paperwork and time. I was going to get divorced anyway in the end.
Getting paper was going to simply my life. Why would I change my name and then change back. It's the opposite of easier life.

Anonymous wrote:Is it bad form for a lily-white American woman who marries a man with an obviously Latino/Asian/Middle Eastern-sounding name to change to her husband's name or should she keep her own (anglo-American) surname? Of course some women today prefer keeping their maiden names anyway.

I don't know why, but something just rubs me as cultural appropriation or faking diversity when someone like Larla Jones gets married and becomes Larla Rodriguez, Larla Zhang, or Larla Al-Habib. It's like pretending not to be white.

Why is this an issue? Im not Irish but if I married someone with the name O'Malley would you be as appalled? This is just so weird to me. Its not pretending to be anything. You shouldnt make assumptions based on someones name. They could be adopted, married, have a step family and changed their name. I dont assume origins based on last names OP and you shouldnt either.

Why exactly is OP simply asking a simple question about women marrying ethnics somehow “racist” in your small brain?

Do you get hyper-triggered over everything, PP?

Define ethnic. There are white ethnics too,i.e. non-WASP Europeans like Italians, Slavs, etc.

Yeah, OP. Larla totally married Miguel Lopez to virtue signal to you how woke she is.

Are you for f-ing real? No one is virtue signaling by marrying someone or wanting to have the same last name as her children. Get over your stupid self.

Asian American here. I have met many white woman change their last names to Asian names and also know many Asian women who changed their last names to their white husbands’ name.

I was surprised when meeting a Sarah Kim to find out she is blonde with blue eyes.

What is an 'ethnic' person? If you are white and go to Kenya would you be considered 'ethnic' by the Africans living in Kenya. Or is 'ethnic' a magical word that lumps everyone who is not Caucasian. We need some definitions here? In my opinion someone who is Racist is far better than someone who is an idiot because idiocy shows a lack of basic functional skills. The OP fits the definition of an idiot.

That has nothing to do with OP's idiotic rant.
