She was 57!!! She looked no more than 35. Wow! Beautiful, radient woman!
RIP. I love her in this Maroon 5 video. |
| I had absolutely no idea she was even sick. Did anyone else? How very sad. |
| No, it looks like they kept it very private |
To be fair she’s only 38 in that video. But yes, she aged well. |
| You all should read Leah Reminis book on Scientology if you want to understand how horrific this “religion” is what it does to destroy families. |
Good for them. It’s refreshing to see a celebrity keep something quiet. And shows that it can be done, if your mother/publicist isn’t calling the entertainment press to let them know. |

How were they able to keep it so private? The media and the TMZ snakes are an insidious bunch. Sounds like they had providers and staff that could be trusted. I also wonder if he basically just bought a home and transformed it into a medical facility with controlled access.
At any rate... I'm happy that they were able to keep it quiet and deal with it as a family. She was one of my favorite actresses. |
| I follow her on insta and maybe 4 to 5 months ago I realized she was wearing a wig and the every pic since I noticed (mothers day, fathers day, etc). She wasn't a huge poster but enough for me to notice. Her facial features looked fairly healthy mid June, she didnt look "end of the road" to me. So sad. The link to synethic hormones and breast cancer is very real. I was on a hormone supported pregnancy in my thirties for 28 weeks (ended up with a stillbirth) but my gyno and my specialist both said to be very very careful with screenings and never skip a manogram. They had tons of stories of people who either use IVF or other hormone treatments and then get breast cancer right at the tail end of menopause. |
Because they are part of a group (the upper reaches of Scientology) that is very, very closed and keeps out outsiders and threatens anyone who tells "secrets." My guess is that a small group of people in their church circle knew and they kept it within that circle. They probably also hired staff, etc. from within that small circle. |
Makes sense. I don't know anything about Scientology (and have no interest in reading up on it) but from all accounts I picture a venus flytrap analogy when people talk about it; once the leaves close around you, you're protected but it may not be particularly safe inside. |
Dp why do you say this? When Michael J, Fox revealed his Parkinson's disease it helps everyone. It brings awareness to it and helps raise money for a cure. Cancer isn't something to be ashamed of, pp! |
A person's medical record is also very private. Some people do not wish to disclose it to others. You need to respect the patient's wishes. My dad died from terminal cancer and he was VERY private outside of our immediate family. He did not even want our extended family to know for a long time. He said to me that once people know you have cancer that is all the see. He did not want to be treated differently or people to act differently around him. It's not everyone's job to raise awareness. |
Also, they had children. They did not need the relentless press hounding them. |
What is Scientology’s view on drinking, drugs, and partying. |
Are you 21? |
