George is a wasted vote.

What? Todd doesn't get anything done. He sent out a mailer listing his "accomplishments" that included one outright lie and one gross exaggeration.

^ conservative troll, Jeff.

Anyone know when the results are expected?

People are still voting. It might be a couple more hours to get the last votes in.

I'm wondering about the final tally, given all the absentee ballots that need to be counted (mine is one of them)?

The plan was to begin announcing counts tonight. There was even a way to watch the counting on Webex. But I don't know if they will stick to that plan.

54% for Janeese Lewis George
44% for Brandon Todd

That's a pretty sizeable lead.

Wow. Shocked and so happy for her, and the ward. Who are the 100 people who voted for Trump in Ward 4, tho?

Is it possible it could be overturned once all the absentee ballots are counted? My neighborhood is full of elderly/longtime DC residents, and I imagine many of them sent in absentee ballots.

That seems to be an awfully big lead to overcome, even under the circumstances. Todd likely did better with long time residents than recent gentrifiers, but I’m not sure there are that many more of them who would have voted absentee or that the swing would be that big.

Even WOTP Ward 4, he was still 50/50. He's just not going to have a lead anywhere that closes that gap.
