Both of them are disgusting. I am quite sure that she is a Trumper. |
Of course she'll get child support. But she'll get it based on Tennessee standards. I doubt they'll give her more than $10,000/month for the three kids which is just enough for private school and nannies. Unless she has a separate agreement that he pay private school for up to 15 years which will definitely reduce her negotiating power. The kids are all toddlers - she has to think long-term. And the kids will inherit when the dad is dead. He's 36 now. Healthy (as above posters have been shouting for days). Fit. Easy life. She's going to have to way 40 years for those kids to get his estate and by then...they may or may not be willing to share with her. |
They have a prenup. Wouldn’t child support be provided for in there since they had kids before the prenup was written? Kids are 7-4. I’m sure she’ll get a decent chunk for them because he’s going to take care of his kids. But she’s not getting full custody of them. I think he’ll fight her for shared custody. They also already have his and hers houses so no need to worry about where to live. Altho I don’t think she’ll be happy long-term about having to stay in TN. |
The 'her' house has been on the market since 2018. Its 20,000 square feet. There's no way a single mom with questionable income and two stores to pay rent on can afford a) the mortgage, and b) the upkeep. ![]() |
The 20,000 square foot original Cavallari house. Also 9 acres. On the market multiple years and with price reductions.

Guess it depends on the prenup. Those details will be public soon. I think the store fronts will go under. Now is a good time to use the economy as an excuse. The crap she sells just needs to be e-commerce and QVC specials. |
This! It is so weird that she would allege this. Anyone who has watched the show knows that many times they talked about how Jay drops off and picks the kids up from school and does all sorts of things with them. They would joke he’s the stay at home dad. I mean, this is literally all documented on her own show. |
I’m the PP but the more I think about it the more I think she’ll claim that was scripted for the show. I think it’s true about him. But I believe she’s more calculating than he is. I read the E article. The place where she works. There’s references fo multiple discussions about divorce and her always being honest that they’ve had all these problems. Those comments were clearly fed by her. |
I don't care how 'calculating' she is. She made a mistake by painting him as the primary parent in a reality tv show while travel records will show she spent the majority of her time away at events and openings. On top of the fact that they signed a pre-nup and have only been married 7 years? She didn't even hit the 10 year mark which gets her extra benefits legally and in most prenup agreements. Jay may or may not be as good as she is at seeing work-arounds but that's what an ace team of lawyers is for and he can afford them. |
How do you know she’s been away from home the majority of the time? That’s not even been a point on the show. Also, isn’t the 10-years of marriage rule only important in community property states? For example it doesn’t net you anything in VA. |
Views are amazing but I'm surprised that they don't seem to have a pool |
Maybe because the kids were too little? I’m not sure their current place does either. |
The last owners filled it in. Also they seriously made BANK on that house. Purchased for $420,000 in 2004. Maybe just the land - but even so? Kristin and Jay came out and $5.3M for it in 2012 like a fool. |
No pool - main reason house hasn’t sold. Nashville multi million dollar homes SIT on the market for sometimes years. very different market then dc. |
A new owner could put one in for $40,000. If they really wanted to. They're going to take a serious loss on that house. |
