Southern charm of Charleston

In the finale, Shep was drunk and uncharacteristically inarticulate (a shame as the one thing I do like about him is how he usually converses intelligently). Ashley's antics were contrived and she was probably compensated well (who would do any of the things she did voluntarily?) Bringing the two (of the threesome) to the party was clearly a ratings grab. Patricia looked like she came straight from the plastic surgeon. And, talking about Austen being vanilla...we now see why Cameron's husband has no screen time...and why she needs this show as an outlet of sorts. He was cute, sweet, boring, and absolutely out of his element. Katherine's dude was a dweeb. Madison is cute as well, but snarky, and it was a total bitch move by bringing in a third party to her beef with Shep. I thought Naomi looked stunning, and I am usually not her biggest fan. Not digging her boyfriend At all.

Is Shep ever not drunk? That dude has a problem. And he’s not as smart as he thinks. Agree about Ashley, but then again why do any of these people do what they do? They have to be slightly or completely off their rockers to begin with. Re. Cameron’s husband...well, he’s normal so no wonder he doesn’t want anything to do with reality TV. Love me some Madison - someone needs to put Shep in his place. Don’t like Naomi’s guy either. The producers must’ve talked Craig into bringing one of those trashy chicks but his solution was just to get wasted and pretend it was all a big mistake. Sigh, I cannot look away from this show.

Who are these women who would even want to come to the party after being part of the "scandal"? Drama llamas. They have minds of their own; we can't blame Shep entirely for bringing them.

Correct. I blame the producers.

Shep went along with the charade and it was his reputation that took a hit....a bad look all around. And the two dates looked trashy as hell.

I thought it was so corny and contrived the way the producers tried lamely to create drama between Naomie, Cameran and their spouses.

No! Cannot figure that out. He’s so wishy washy.

They seem way to be a STAR by being part of the fake threesome.

Anonymous wrote:Just watched the season finale. Shep has major issues and boy does Madison have his number. Makes him seriously insecure. Love her for standing up to his bullying and egotism. He literally squirms in his seat when she talks to him. Yes she was reactive and blurted out a nasty but she clearly regretted it and Danni was gracious to forgive her. Although I do think Shep lied to Austen (or it’s even the truth) about Danni so Shep is the one to blame in all of this is the end. He’s a disaster of a human.

Another clear train wreck is Ashley. And a fool to try to take on a master manipulator like Patricia. Good luck with that.

It’s interesting that some of the biggest drama of the season involved 2 people who are not full-time cast members - Madison and Danni. I guess they won’t be on the couch at the beginning of the reunion, but hopefully they’ll be brought in at some point. I don’t think Danni wants to be a full-time cast member, but Madison definitely earned a spot for next season, I think. Eliza was a nothing-burger. Switch her out for Madison.

Madison was at the reunion. They filmed 2 or 3 weekends ago in NYC.

I think Shep also has a drug problem.

I can look away, this show has run its course. These supporting cast members can’t pull off a lead role, they are too lightweight and boring with absolutely nothing to add. When they do try to add something, it comes off as forced and contrived and is always accompanied by a “sitcom” style soundtrack. How much longer can they make a show about drinking and hanging out, plotting against one another, always ending with a boring, ugly grande ballroom finale? Patricia, come on really, where are your friends? Even your producer son Whitney doesn’t want to shred metal with these clowns anymore.

Why the above suggestion that Whitney is hay?

Also, where are the Danni storylines?
She seems pleasant enough but there is very little from her this season. Did we ever follow up on the egg retrieval?

Also who cares about Naomi? So sick of her stupid French parents and doctor boyfriend. She is boring and should not be a main cast member.
