Is busing really an option?

Busing cannot work in high traffic areas, period. I don’t want kids with hour+ commutes clogging roads, it’s not to anyone’s benefit.

However, I am ALL in favor of more rent-controlled housing in expensive areas. I live in Bethesda and it’s turning into Wealth central. Decades ago, it was an unassuming suburb.
It is SO incredibly important to have a balanced population in every community.

I live in Bethesda too and agree 100%

Isnt one of the aoartment complex off bradlyey blvd and arlinton rd for low income only?

Town of Kensington is roughly 4 miles from WJ. Hardly "across the county." And how exactly is WJ luxurious?

If 4 miles is your benchmark then you should be fine with busing W kids to Kennedy.

Have you even looked at a map? Neither DTSS nor any "W" school are within 4 miles of Kennedy.

MCPS 2017-2018:

Asian-American 14.7%
Black/African-American 21.4%
Hispanic 29.5%
White 30.0%
ESOL 11.2%
FARMs 27.0%
ever FARMs 46.1%

MCPS has been focus on bringing diversity to every school in its system, does that mean high school cluster will have the same demography as MCPS, as shown above? Shouldn't the boundary study provide MCPS with the right tool to do it ?Since high test scores are associated with students’s SES, after redistributing students with boundary modification, no W school will earn 7, 8, 9, or 10 from school rating websites. Every school should has the same rating, some are lower but others are higher. The equalty in opportunity will be provided to all students, this may close the achievement gap.

No, it does not mean that. People on DCUM keep suggesting that, but I have never seen anything from MCPS that says that.
