Interesting. My take is that the meat eaters are being the real pains in the ass here.

Only in your warped little mind.

Yeah. This thread is full of vegans and vegetarians saying they are flexible and can eat almost anywhere if they have to, that it's no big deal for them.

Then you have the non veg grousing about theoretically not ever being able to eat out or to share a meal or to cook for someone and how hard it would be waah waah.

Tell me. Honestly. Who is being more high maintenance here in their "needs?"

Quite honestly, we all know the supposed flexibility of vegans is dishonest bullshit, and we'll have to deal with their bitching, moaning, and pouting if things are not done to their exact specifications.

We do?

Love the Bourdain quote. The vegan projection is really interesting-“No you meat eaters are the ones being inflexible!” The fact is vegans are the ones deliberately choosing a restrictive dietary path that puts them in diametric opposition to the food habits of the majority. You might not like it, but when YOU choose to deviate from the norm, the onus is on you to navigate that path, and not on the majority to go out of their way to accommodate you. Some more patient types might, but frankly, you’re really mostly a pain in the rear.

I dare you to go through this thread and find one inflexible quote from a vegan. All you have are baseless assumptions or unverifiable personal examples. And since vegans are super rare, I tend to think most of you are lying about knowing any.

You're no different than the people who always claim to know lemonjello or l_-a.

And certainly omnivores have lots of food hang ups--pickkness, Paleo, gluten free, keto, low carb. I don't judge all omnivores based on these people

Try not to make assumptions about people. It's ugly.

Dude. There are plenty of happy mixed marriages out there. If you feel that strongly about NOT dating a vegan, just *put it in your profile* - it's really that simple. The onus is on the person who has dating restrictions to look out for themselves.

Interesting read. This is probably why my friend is single. I was having a hard time figuring it out seeing as she has what guys claim to want. She dies have that she's vegan in her profile. Shes not high maintenance about being a vegan. I very traveled with her and gone out to eat with her plenty of times and she's never one to complain about food I'll have to clue her in .
