The Scam that is DC Express

Hey Rube - Read the fine print - it’s total BS. It’s a good idea to get all the kids on the field so they can get exposure - they are paying the same tuition as the “best players” e.g. kids of crazy, narcistic dads

DCE also had a cupcake schedule on Sat. One thing is clear. They used to be in the conversation for the best team in the country. No longer.

Dude, every freaking D1 coach is watching this team every weekend...who cares about whether they're #1 or #10, they have the exposure!

DCE won CrabFeast this weekend, beating 3D NE (9-3), then Eclipse (6-5), and finally FCA (8-4). 64 goals scored, only 15 goals allowed in 6 games. While there were some huge runups (10-1, 17-1, 14-1), hopefully college coaches were able give the kids a good look.

This in from Crabfeast 40 national clubs in the '21 division...DCE21 41-3 combined score in pool play for #1 seed in playoffs, rolls FCA in finals to win tourney for the 3peat. Championship games for '21s and '20s streamed live on Youtube with Mark Dixon and Ty Sanders in the booth.

Of course wining matters, or the club wouldn’t promote it every chance they get. That was just Ray/Brian trying to deflect the reality of the situation. The issue has been the ownership and some in the coaching staff pushing exposure vs winning this summer season. This weekend, they coached to win it for the most part (in goal). The team played well enough to make it non-issue this week against a tough schedule.

I can’t follow you...before you said it wasn’t an advantage anymore, as the gap closed w age, and now you say they came through...which is it?? Oh yeah...FCA filled w MIAA kids don’t have any holdbacks, or 3D New England, Eclipse or any other club team...anywhere...ever...

Jesus... since you're soiling yourself about winning and goals - don't you remember going down 5 goals early last week w/ the kids playing hero ball but folks (probably you) whining about favored players not getting more reps to do more dumb stuff on the field in front of college coaches. Coaches coach, players play and fans cheer - know your lane.

Every member of the ACC, BigTen, Ivies, including many of their head coaches, on hand at the DCE games all weekend. The level of competition in one place makes their job a lot easier.

sounds like trash talking vs something you know actually is happening

Certainly great for the DC area to see a team win three straight at CrabFeast going into junior year of HS. This happens a few times in youth lax in smaller regional tourneys, but rare at HS level as there is too much talent everywhere
