someone set me straight here.. this is like a puzzle:

1. initially, the money was supposedly paid by Cohen then reimbursed by the campaign
2. now Trump is saying it wasn't reimbursed from the campaign but from his own personal bank account?

Mueller is probably following the money. Even if Trump paid the campaign back, it's still illegal.

Isn't this what brought John Edwards down? Using campaign money to buy off his mistress? Ironic that it was the National Enquirer that brought out this story, and Trump thought they should've won the pulitzer for it, and that the owner of the paper is Trump's friend, oh and he also paid off a former mistress of Trump's.

I am so confused about the varying versions of this event we have heard from the people involved.
What I find most objectionable (in addition to the continued assault on truth) is Rudy Giuliani calling federal law enforcement officers "StormTroopers". Disgusting and especially irresponsible coming from a person who was the US Attorney for the SDNY

Violation of campaign laws and validation of federal forms.

Clinton was guilty of perjury for lying about a blowjob and yet he was impeached. This is more serious because there are violations of several Federal statues.

I am not a Trump supporter but about the only thing about this latest revelation is that Trump probably lied when he said he did not know about Cohen paying Daniels .......... but Trump lies constantly and it has not affected his support among Republicans - which is all that matters.

It does matter for Mueller and the states who can bring charges. Trump's followers are hopeless, but have faith in Mueller.

What charges? Trump slept with a porn star and then used his attorney to pay her off to keep quiet and Trump then reimbursed the attorney for the amount that was paid?
