That singer is amazing and extraordinarily beautiful. I understand there is a complex racial dynamic to this story though I'm not sure that this video is relevant to that. The bigger picture to me seems to be whether this was an adult event or a family event. Should these kids have even been there, dressed like that? And the sadness of the boy goes without saying. so sad.

I read somewher that at least when they first moved to Portland Sarah worked for Kohl’s. I don’t know what she did for them or what Jennifer did. I believe she worked though because I read this morning that CPS came shortly after they had both gotten home from work.

I'm the PP and the whole t-shirt discussion is ridiculous considering the actual mental state of these kids and I assume, the moms. That poor little boy looked like he was just hanging on for dear life. This is heartbreaking.

Totally heartbreaking. It’s almost incomprehensible to me how anyone could abuse children like that.

- Sarah was a Kohls manager. Has a degree in special education.

Jen, the driver, was the SAHM but was a big gamer and a guild organizer for a Star Trek gaming site.

Controversy is that State of Washington provides a relatively high rate for the education and care of children adopted from foster care (pardon me I can't think of the term for this) some calculated about 57K?

The couple was running away from CPS in every state where they lived. Children were progressively more isolated with each move. No doctors,no teachers, no mandated reporters. All were home schooled.

New info: They left home Friday morning, they were in Newport Oregon Saturday night, and in Fort Bragg on Sunday evening. No further sightings since 9pm Sunday. Car was found about 4pm on Monday.

They released a CCTV image of Jennifer Hart from Sunday evening when she was at a grocery store buying bananas. She looks quite different from other pictures. Her hair is shorter and dark.

Still no evidence of any of the other 3 children who may have been swept out to sea. Police are also considering the possibility that they weren't in the van.

Earlier abuse allegations surface. In 2008 a child reported Jennifer Hart hit her with a belt. Jennifer told police the child had fallen down the stairs.

If you look at the crowd footage, the only kids in that video appear to be these 6 children. The rest of the crowd appears to be a crop of new age hippies. Props. Those kids were feel good props for those women.

when the boy leaves the stage the mom picks him up like a baby and a woman behind them in the crowd can be seen touching the boy. If this is what they do in public, I wonder what they did with those children behind closed doors, besides the hitting.

He had learned that to get approval from those women he had to do the whole peace/love/huggie thing with adult strangers at these demonstrations.

Pp, I also find the video disturbing. There is so much pain in the boy's body language. The way he clings to the singer...

NP here. Add me to the list. That video actually made me tear up. That poor boy clings to people with that same pained tearful expression. I feel like he was crying out, desperate for help.

SIX black children. Why adopt so many when you don't have a personality that handles the stress well? Beating and starving the kids!

This! It isn’t like they were accidentally getting pregnant with more kids than they could handle. They had to go through the difficult adoption process. Anything to show it was one mom and she was abusing not only the kids but her wife? I mean how does a couple AGREE to abuse their kids?!

That video is sad and plain disgusting. Just like the viral photo at the BLM protest, it is very telling. I think I hear those pigs laughing as they are shooting the video. I saw nothing funny about that video, just the opposite.

I just realized at the end of the video the boy also has a hand made free hugs sign hanging from his neck. Those kids truly needed hugs and so much more that the moms refused to provide, like food, etc.

I assume the moms had the idea for the "free hugs" sign, and had the kid wear it. I seriously doubt the boy thought of it himself. My guess is the sign was a prop for that hippy concert.

I also wonder though, if his behavior indicates a disability or RAD. Kids who are starved for attention don't hug random strangers. What I can see is their moms saying "he's such a loving child, always hugging people. Let's hang one of those'free hugs' signs on his neck. He'll think it's neat, and it will make us look like such cool parents." (Free hugs signs are a trend amongst hippies).
